Yep he could - but I rather he and Coutinho play behind Mario and Sturridge. That would be a crazy attack IMO.
Maybe LFC were happy to keep the Benteke rumours alive since there was no chance of us ever meeting the buy out clause and everyone being distracted by that did us no harm long term
I cant see Balotelli thriving with play makers. He needs pacey wingers who cross. If stronger rumours and leaks are true, we could expect: Mignolet Clyne Ilori Sakho Moreno Can Henderson Milner Coutinho Sturidge Firmino Decent as long as the defense is stronger.
Think you are all nuts about Ilori. He's got to show a full preseason here first. He's not earned that.
Disagree - I think Mario can work with playmakers but he needs a partner. Would love to see Ilori play more games - Varane, Agger etc are started young. Can be no worse than Skrtel.
I was going on the 'promise more first team football' rumour I read. It will probably e Skrtel but him and Sakho dont balance each other well IMO.
Ilori's been promised more first team action this season - could be why Skrtel has yet to sign his deal since he needs (apparently) a certain number of appearances to get his top pay packet.
That promise could be 6 games in europa lads. What's he done? Not enough to start. Needs a big preseason imo.

Totally agree. Would love to see a couple of the younger lads already with us to stake a claim. Pre season is massive for us for a ton of reasons....just hope we get no serious injuries. When is Sturridge back?
Missing for that run of nasty away games then! Ings may not be the answer....am guessing Borini, mario and lambert will be gone....still need another striker.
