Thanks uncle! All is well and keeping me busy!! First chance Ive had to watch abit of racing tnite so am makin the most of it! Having a very small punt on FRIDGE KID Ew @ 33's in the next!
Okay, so this did not turn out to be the best day at the races this century, going to Beverley knowing that it was one of the crappiest cards they will probably have all season. David Allan had four rides this afternoon and won on three of them. I only backed one horse ridden by David Allan – guess which one. Tim Easterby had three winners, but they were not all ridden by David Allan. No doubt you will all be astounded that on a card where five favourites won out of seven and the other two races were won by 4/1 shots, I managed to lose. The apprentice race was a comedy. Everybody knows that you need a low draw over five furlongs so that was why the apprentices spread out across the whole width of the track for the last three furlongs and the eventual winner ended up near the inside rail from a draw of 10. I do not know whether they continued to show the runners on TV after the winning post as they went around the top bend trying to pull up but three of the youngsters managed to fall off their horses! However, the funniest moment of the whole afternoon happened before I even got to the track. I was walking up the Westwood – the road that runs through Westwood Pasture up to the racecourse buildings – and on the other side of the road were a herd of cows, or at least that was what I thought. As I was passing by, one of them started mounting the others – so clearly not a cow. I wish I had been able to get my camera out quick enough as it would have made a great avatar! Amazingly, nobody else seemed to notice. Maybe they were all the country set and were used to seeing that sort of dogging going on all the time. Nice shout with Midlander at Brighton, Wooly. I should have gone with Simon Crisford’s only runner at Beverley.
Small boom! Won so easily and drifted out too! fav will win so going for Loyalty card ew for me in the next at Ballinrobe
One last one for me tnite - CINEVATOR on the next at Newton! Well done to all the winners today! Not a great days racing but winners to find and luckly found a decent price one! Nice chinese on the way thanks to Mr Johnston so Be lucky to all and speak to you tomorrow!
Your doing well yourself wooly , I'm finding it still a bit formless at the mo but I'm sure it will get better gradually. Senor George looks a little big at 5s
Weardiditallgorong @ 6/1 in the lucky last in Leicester for me. The name appeals to me and as Sir Barney has proved time and time again, the name is the key to winners ...maybe
