A member of the orange order is banned from attending a catholic church. Therefore cannot attend a wedding or funeral of someone they could well be very friendly with on a personal level.

The person themselves may well be a very decent human being, but the organisation they belong to as a group is not very tolerant of others

 

This is what I have been saying. Catholics and members of the OO have been known to get on well together for years
