He got goals last season. Let's see what he does this year.

All I can say is sterling is **** in front of goals

Scoring goals isn't a good enough measure for talent and ability.

Henderson has more goals and assists than Coutinho and Iniesta.

Kane is a natural striker, Sterling isn't. Not saying that Kane didn't have a good season but he's nowhere near as talented as Sterling.

Sterling was our best player up until January, then it was Coutinho. If it was reversed, Sterling would have been our player of the year instead - because we fans remember the latest form.

I'd have far rather had Kane last season than Sterling

Talent and ability in attacking players is useless unless you can apply it within the team in a way that leads to tangible outcomes i.e. goals and assists.

Kane is employed as a striker and he did fantastically well in the EPL last season, scoring 21 league goals. He therefore had a better season than Sterling - fact. Time will tell if he continues in the same vain next season.

Not saying that Kane didn;t have a better season - he clearly did.

But he's not a better footballer Sterling nor does he have the talent/potential.

Sterling's all round game is far superior and is more involved in build up - Kane gets into good positions and scores goals. Credit to him but I reiterate, Sterling is the better footballer.

There's been plenty of fancy footballers over the years with bags of natural talent, who never set the game alight in terms of their overall contribution.

The jury is out on Sterling, he's got talent certainly, but his finishing is gash and his decision making isn't always the best either. I think he's a massive gamble at £40m+ as he's not the finished article and may never be....which given his ego and love of the lifestyle is highly likely imo. Pennant the second potential......

No way he's worth £40m - that's just how this crazy market is.

But he's not a striker so his finishing is not going to be great. However, his stats at his age including goals, assists, chances creates, dribbled completed etc are comparable if not better than the world class players of today at the same age. <ok>

I would like to keep Sterling however, if we got £50m to then go out and buy two players out of Firmino, Aubamayang, Kovacic, Vietto then I'd be more than happy.

There's also the Welsh Premier League and the Russian Premier League, but again, you're unlikely to get them confused really. I'm not a fan of the tern EPL to be honest.
