Morning all As Buck has gone AWOL it looks like I'll step up to the plate and get us started. The Express yesterday has claimed that Byram turned down a £5 million bid from Arsenal to help us get promoted... do you believe this or is it just hype? If Sunderland are willing to pay £6 million why would we accept £5 million for Byram? According to Twitter (Elland favourite place to get transfer news) we are going to sign 4 new players in the next 9 days. Who would you like and who do you expect? Over to you
Hi Bucks - I have had the same nagging feeling since Pearson arrived and announced all the others to follow - it is just totally anathema to Cellino's way of doing things and a dead opposite to what he did 12 months ago when he sacked everyone he could. Just feels like something is going on (especially coupled with Cellino's blissful silence). Chippy, dead serious question, what do you really believe this is all about??
Not sure Sunderland have put in that 6m bid yet (or if they are going to), it was only the 4.5m bid we've rejected from him so far. Don't believe Arsenal were actually interested. Seems like someone in the media have just made that up. They currently have Debuchy, Bellerin, Chambers and Jenkinson on their books as right backs. 3 of which are are 'young full backs with potential', 2 of which are younger and all of which far far better.
Morning ... as we are now looking at signing experienced players, my guess is we'll get Banks, Hurst, Peters and Kewell ... I'm with Josh on the Arsenal thing, looks like lazy journalism again by putting the Jenkinson to Sunderland bid next to Byram to Sunderland ... Jenkinson is not going to be at Arsenal, with either Sunderland or Hammers getting him, so some hack thinks Arsenal will go for Byram as a replacement ... can't see Wenger thinking that Byram is better than Jenkinson Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
