It's a 2 way thing the kid has full on interactions and conversations with fresh air. But will then come out with something that the kid could not possibly know.
I usually dismiss these kind of things but it's freaky when you encounter it in your life, I don't ever want the kid to say anything to me as I'd lose it, don't want to know.
They grow out of it after a while. Mine went through the whole dead people stuff. She saw people and ****. My son never did... I personally didn't give a bollocks. What dead person ever harmed anyone, barring the fungi growing on mummy's of course

The kid isn't talking to spirits, as there are no such thing as spirits. If he is legitimately privvy to information he could not possibly know then my guess would be that its through one of two ways: 1) He has an exceptionally high, higher brain function and is ,probably inadvertently, reading peoples body language and projecting the information back at them, kind of like what Derren Brown does. 2) He is somehow able to pick up frequencies from alternative dimensions maybe he is especially sensitive to electro magnetism.
No. Number 1 is absolutely true beyond doubt. People can read your body language and look into your eyes and tell you both your parents name, the name of your first pet, how many siblings you have, the name of the primary school you went to. I have seen it, and I have had it happen to me. Reading body language is far more effective than most people think. People with those kinds of abilities combined with Neuro-linguistic programming, like Derren Brown, are amazing. No magic or supernatural ability is required. Number 2, whilst theoretical, is certainly more believable to me than ghosts, that each decision everyone makes is played out somewhere in an alternative reality and that some people are able to pick up information that filters through it. Certainly more proof of a space time continuum than casper. If Ghosts existed, it would have been conclusively proven by now. There are so many "haunted" sites in the world, would be easy to prove it one way or another.

The kid is 7 and autistic so no Derren Brown, the kid has full blown conversations with thin air but when questioned it will generally be her late gran but on occasions it's been family members of other people or a person mentioning family members of the person the kid is talking to, there's no way the kid can know this information.
My friend's auntie died in the hospital no one knew and I saw a woman running into her house which was locked. We thought it was a burglar, when we got there the house was still locked. About 60 minutes later he husband came to tell us that she was dead. If OI knew she was dead maybe I should have call out get out where are you?
It's certainly odd. There's plenty that humans don't understand about the mind and energy from previous lives that still somehow surrounds us. There's definitely something to it, but we can't yet explain it. Science will try and put it in a box marked bullshit, as it can't rationalise it with current undertanding, but that doesn't mean it's not real.
