Last week. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...worries-Iker-Casillas-influence-Bernabeu.html http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...rid-offer-manchester-utd-13m-for-david-de-gea
Does Ramos speak English? I really don't see the value in trading one of the world's best goalkeepers plus cash for a 29-year-old defender. Great player and all but he'll have to rein in his aggression as he gets away with plenty for Real and it's a hard league to adapt to at that age.
Mmmmmm...the Daily Fail on Twitter. Well when two of the most respected and verified 'news' sources in the world say it's true... ....they of course wind their neck in a few days later: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...David-Gea-despite-expecting-keeper-leave.html
Whatever the fee is it will seem low as Real value and buy players with Euros. When we bought De Gea the GBP/Euro rate was just over 1.1. We paid £18million which equated to 20million Euros. Today the rate is 1.4 so to just recoup the transfer fee we'd need to get 25million euros for him. If United value De Gea at £30million that's 42million Euros which is probably more than Real's valuation. The way to overcome this would be a player swap of some kind. Now's the time to buy players from the Euro countries!
The amount of money likely for De Gea is pointless. Going for a Real Madrid player in the deal is far more worthwhile Having said that, Ramos ffs? Given that we were talking about Hummels, this is a big step down. The only thing that would make me feel positive about this is either: - Hummels and Ramos was the plan for our CB pairing or - Ramos was being brought in as a RB (his original position)
That would work If we have to lose De Gea then I would rather go for Varane or Benzema as anyone else worth having would be way off the menue (Ronny, Bale Modric).
They would be mad to, but who knows where Madrid are concerned. I suppose it all depends on how bad they want David, as yet I have seen nothing but news speculation linking him (he`s Spanish you know ) but they need to put a bid in first if there is any interest.
Just a thought but why would Ramos be interested? Two years left on his contract and presumably on crazy money already.
Not sure they pay their defenders on the same scale as the strikers and midfield, he would probably get the same or better at United.
Maybe a bit more but still just don't really see the appeal for him of upping sticks and moving from Madrid to Cheshire.
