I remember Roo complaining about a Barmy army song because Matilda is a bag. Is Australia calling the women's football team a bunch of bags or would this be a more appropriate juncture for the Barmy army song?
Oh Joannah, lots of people have read my tongue in cheek post and seen it for what it is, a poor, luminous piece of bait. I can't believe a smart, young thing has actually nibbled on it ............... accept my apologies if you were offended.
Good luck to our lasses tonight, I fancy us to beat Norway and make it to the quarter-finals, got a sneaky feeling that the female Aluko might have a part to play today after having a rest last game, fingers crossed. Would like to see Ellen White involved ahead of Duggan, who does a lot of running but not much else
Our half of the draw is wide open now, Canada with been at home have a great chance to get to the final but they have not been plying great, Brazil started the tournament in great style but Aus beat them yesterday! Japan are still there but again have yet to shine In the other half I can not wait for Germany to play the USA
Thanks for the compliment, unless, of course, that was also sarcasm, but I am actually older than you!! No, I am not offended, I just like to give all you blokes a bit of your own medicine!! No "h" in my name by the way!
No sarcasm Joanna, I know when, and how, to back off gracefully ................. I won't ask your age but, unless yours begins with a ''6'', or higher, you're certainly younger!
Is Roo doing the BBC text? Sone's sage advice? Norway v England (22:00 BST) Posted at21:11 please log in to view this image Getty Images It is not just her first goal at this tournament Eni Aluko is looking for, she is yet to score at all in three World Cup appearances. Such is her desperation to score that she has turned to her brother Sone for advice. "I talk to my brother all the time, I talk to him a lot before games and he gives me lots of advice," says Aluko. That's Sone who scored just one goal in 25 Premier League appearances for Hull last season. I'd probably take that advice with a spoonful of salt...
Brilliant win for our lasses, Canada next in the quarter -final, they are definitely beatable, looking good for a semi-final at the moment! Manager is getting lucky with bodged tactics rectified by good substitutions, but whatever gets the job done I reckon!
