  1. Can't you just use a stein rather than a pint pot and order bigger pizzas?

Whichever you get, make sure the collars at the ends of the bar lock in place. There is nothing worse than the weights starting to spin and rattle when you are in the middle of a set of reps.

Adjustable dumbells are OK up to a point. Better off buying a few sets of rubber hex ones.

    Each to their own though

You've only 15kg per dumbell there. Tbh you should be increasing the weight every week, fortnight at most.

Say you start with 10s in 6 weeks tops the dumbells will be of little gaining use to you.

    2 weeks at 10, 2 weeks at 12.5, 2 weeks at 15 and then what ?

You are soon gonna be pissed off having to do that mate, thought those bells were 30kg each which would set you up nicely but at 15kg a piece, as Hashy says, give it a month or two of solid, consistent training and you'll own that weight and be looking for more <ok>

Even if they was 30kg a piece you still wouldn't get 'huge' lifting that

<laugh> you evil fecker... what weight are you benching currently?? I'd look a proper pussy next to that with my 25s

Just make sure you're not one of those twats who never unloads the bar, nothing worse than having to haul someone else's weight around after, it's like they've just dumped on the bench and gone 'deal with it'... or to have to put two 50kg bells back on the rack cos they're in the way

I benched 165 last week just 10 short of my record.

As for leaving weights behind etc. It does my nut in
