Of course its a non story Medro.

Our press deemed several pitch invasions, fighting, D&D behaviour and a policeman being attacked as a "non story". Hence why they didnt report it.

They even deemed the assault on a Hearts ball boy, giving him severe head injuries as a non story.

If someone was to sing The Billy Boys however....... <doh>

    Dungeons and dragons

Also, how did you know about the ball boy if you never read it in the press?

Compare Medro's reaction to this story to the 3 different threads he started on the Australian story.

    <laugh><laugh><laugh>

On top of that, the highlighting of frankly bizarre sections of that quote to try to prove his point.

As far as I'm concerned, if you want to sing about a fascist militia, knock yourself out.

I don't care how abhorrent you look to the rest of the world <ok>

Just as we're on the issue of pre season friendlies......

  6. So, you don't know that the Billy Boys in question were a militia who were linked to the BUF and were employed in breaking the general strike and the "fenians" you refer to were, basically, any immigrant they could grab?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Boys

You don't even know what you're singing about but you're raging that you can't sing it.<laugh>

Sharing a city with these ****nuts is getting too much <laugh>

Fuck me gently, we've got a rabid one here. I guess you also believe The Bouncy is a reference to jumping on Catholics heads and Penny Arcade is sung cos a Proddy killed a Catholic next to a Penny Falls machine? What a complete and utter throbber you really are, believing sheer bullshit so you can be offended by it <laugh>

Fenians are Irish Rebels, such as IRA soldiers. Not catholics. If we sung "Up to out knees in catholic blood" then there might be a case but the banning of our anthem was an all out stitch up.

For the record, I dont sing that line as I couldnt care less for what it means. I sing the original and will continue to do so <ok>

Oh and you dont share any type of location with me son, I've never been to Carstairs.

  8. Another one who thinks that the problem with this song is one word or one line<doh>

You can sing that you're up to your knees in anybody's blood that you like - that's not the issue.

    The Billy Boys were fascists.

The Billy Boys were strike breakers.

The Billy Boys were used as henchmen by Oswald Moseley's British Union of Fascists.

"The Billy Boys adopted military style behaviour. They marched on parade, had their own bands, composed their own songs and music, members were expected to dress to a particular standard and paid a weekly levy to help others when in need - and not just to pay off fines.

With the onset of war, Billy Fullerton and the Billy Boys became involved, forming a Glasgow branch of Sir Oswald Moseley's Black shirts.

They'd march on Glasgow Green, on Orange walks and other significant days, though their major role was as part of Moseley's bodyguard."

Eventually, Fullerton (and his yobs) fell out with Moseley when Moseley demanded a United Ireland.

He even started a Glasgow branch of the KKK.

    Sing away, boys, sing away

Mr Sheikh you seriously need to have a long lie down son. As I said before, I dont sing the version you refer to, it has nothing to do with me so I'm not bothered about it. I happily sing "Hullo Hullo" and I challenge anyone to try and claim that as offensive. I dont think even the smelly (and discredited) Spiers or deranged loony McGillivan could claim offense to that.

I could sit here and outline vast terrorist supporting within your fanbase but I have far better things to do with my time than be offended by a bunch of nomark, monobrowed halfwits.

Charge on and sing your songs or praise for terrorists, cleansing of protestants, criminals who starve themselves to prove a point <doh> and sustained chanting of "hun" and "orange bastard", I seriously couldnt care less as long as you're having fun and not taking out your inner rage on your ugly wives <ok>

Fixed that for you mate. Just to save Dev the trouble, he's an old man and would need to put down his copy of the Racing Post, replace his incontinence pad then whip out his reading specs before having to reply claiming big bad Aussies are going out their way to cause bother at celtc games.

I wasnt aware we were involved in the race riots in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and London. If its Manchester 08 you're referring to then I must be some sort of indestructable cyborg being to stroll through the eye of that storm unscathed <ok>

Nothing like a bit of bheggar exaggeration and tell tales to brighten up my day :-D

  18. I love this "trying to be offended" pish - it's a handy comeback whenever faced with truth.

I've shared a city with Rangers fans my whole life - I don't need to be "offended".

Rangers club song (until a few years ago) was about a fascist razor gang - no ifs, buts or maybes.

I would very much like you all to be able to sing it again.
