Tough day for Murray...has to play most of a semi-final and the final if he hopes to win Queen's. Meanwhile Anderson has had his feet up since yesterday afternoon. P.s. For Laura Robson fans, she crashed out badly in her first game back after 17 months. Lost 6-1, 6=0
I've just watched the Steve Jobs movie. I found it very interesting although I have no idea how accurate it was. It is an incredible story.
I watched Jurassic world the other night, really enjoyed it especially in 3D..... Best film I have watched this year though was The Theory of Everything.....brilliant.
Well done for getting out there, PL, and trying something. Just goes to show that if you're willing to push yourself slightly outside your comfort zone, it can work!! Don't know how old you are (probably nowhere near the dinosaur age I am), but I know how you feel about acceptance because, as you get older and if things don't exactly work the way you planned (as has happened to me) it's tough to "start again" and try to find some level of acceptance in a new crowd. Glad you're happy and things are working out - keep smiling and stay positive. Attitude certainly helps!!
No I haven't you must watch the film FLT it's the type of film I watch then want to watch again straight away. Being honest like others I really didn't know his whole life story(won't tell you as don't want to spoil it) he really is a remarkable man. The wife also likes the film and it reduced her to tears (soppy moo) and then we had to buy it.
Saw Jurassic World too. Watched it in IMAX 3D at Soton Odeon - my first experience doing that. Was impressed on the whole as the original is so fantastic. Great dinosaurs, and good fun. Also watched The Theory of Everything and thought it wasn't great to be honest: couldn't make its mind up whether it was a love story, or a compelling drama. I suppose it was based on Jane's memoirs. Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones though are very good.
A very good film...emotional as well as a story of the human spirit, but doesn't play down the suffering of his wife either whilst lauding him. He has recently admitted to being lonely as talking to him is so laborious that many don't bother. Important to realise that just because he has achieved a lot, he is still a man who is suffering...locked in a useless body. I read his book A Brief History of Time...I followed it until about the last chapter. Don't know how a non-scientist would do though. Gave it away when I moved....like to read it again.
It was only last week on the Been; probably still on player. Very good watch. Hawking is Dara's hero from childhood and he takes Hawking's book that he got for Xmas when he was 16 for Hawking to sign. It's a lovely aside to the interview.
Thing is PL, if you're confident in what you are and the fact that you might be perceived as different, you can be extremely happy - moreso than those that spend their time following the given trend. I'll introduce you to Fable one day - she's odd and different, but she's so comfortable in her skin that she makes us 'normal' people feel like the ones who haven't got it. That's the holy grail!
Murray just won first set by winning initial 3 games this morning....obviously doesn't want to exert any energy on this semi-final.
A break down in the second though. Troicki's dislocated shoulder not causing him too much trouble at the moment!
Murray through after tie break in second. Troicki played well...good opponent. Murray is really on form this year.
Murray seems to be able to step up a level when he needs to these days. He really is in the best form of his life at the moment, and really only Djokovic is in his league. Kevin Anderson will cause him problems this afternoon with his huge serve, but I'd still put Murray in the driving seat.
He returns balls that he has no right to....his opponents must just want to smash their racquets up. Now if only he could get rid of that Indian sign that Djokovic has over him.
