    Wasnt there some of the biggest slate mines in the world in N Wales?

    Im pleased with all these things going on in N Wales, as its not likely the slate mines or factories are going to reopen, but these attractions will bring visitors in tgeir thousands to the region. Which supports loads of local businesses, from supply chain to hotels, restaurants and local shops. It also advertises N Wales as somewhere where investment is happening and its forwatd looking

    Been to an old slate mine/quarry and have to say it was great. Really beautiful yet eerie where all of it has been abandoned...

    As I said earlier the majority of jobs provided in the hospitality industry are seasonal and low paid,on the other hand NE Wales/Deeside has plenty of industry e.g. Airbus,Toyota,TaTa Steel,JCB.It's hell of a thought but if you ever fly on an Airbus the wings were made in North Wales

    Yeah it's weird how most of the industry in the NW has gone, but in the NW it's still thriving.
