    All change in the boardroom
Newcastle have taken the unusual step of naming their head coach as a member of the board.
Charnley, who is also on the board, said it was important for McClaren "to gain a full understanding and appreciation" for the club.

Advocaat won't be sacked I reckon. No chance.

Person will start under pressure and so will pelligrini.

Rodgers will be under huge pressure I hope.

I'm looking forward to how rivals will very quickly spin our difficult fixture list as somehow being a benefit to us.

Wasn't expecting that. Has anything new happened (apart from his son being released)?

Nigel Pearson: Refused to be drawn on reports he had been sacked
Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has refused to clear up the confusion over reports that emerged on Sunday claiming he had been sacked.
And in an occasionally tense press conference on Monday, the Leicester boss rounded on former City striker and club honorary vice-president Gary Lineker over his comments about the scuffle between Pearson and Crystal Palace star James McArthur.
Sky Sports News HQ reported on Sunday evening that Pearson had lost his job with the Premier League’s bottom club before the club issued a statement insisting he remained in place.

His son did put him in a very awkward position. It is natural to want to support your kids, but sometimes you have to accept they are in the wrong and they must accept whatever punishment is meted out. It will usually make them a better person, or Pearson as the case may be.
