    Since the board is quiet and Van Der Sar is retired I thought I would start a thread to show my appreciation for his service to the club and football in general.

    He was a model professional and a true gentleman and he will be missed.

    That save in Moscow to win the CL has to be the defining moment of his Manchester United career. He was a fantastic keeper and seemed like an alltogether decent person too. Shame we never managed to sign him sooner than we did but he was brilliant for us while he was here.

    What a legend he truly is. That save of Anelka in the champions league final will be the defining moment of his career and will always be remembered for that.

    Spot on. He really bailed us out last season with some out of this world saves when it mattered. I will miss him.
