It's not lip service. Doing what he did now would have been political suicide if he had done it before getting elected. I would certainly prefer him getting elected than falling by the political wayside because he was foolhardy enough to address gun ownership before he could become President. He's tried before to tackle gun ownership. He got an avalanche of disdain. He's raised the subject again. I hope he keeps it raised.

You'd think so, but he's more effective behind that desk than anywhere In Office. Soon he's quitting to go off and do other things, but he's made a huge difference in public awareness in the States. These days, he's preaching to the already converted, in my opinion. The ones who don't want to listen to reason aren't suddenly going to develop a rational brain, so I think that's part of the reason why he's going to tackle something new. I believe he's already gone into direction and he also writes.

The other thing about someone like him running for Office is that immediately they put up their candidacy it's perfectly possible for them to lose all credibility.

I am yet to discover what peeing in bed cures.

Well seeing as urine contains a natural disinfectant I would imagine repeated doses cures a lot of things. I would assume that if I started to pee in bed it would cure me of dry sheets and the mattress. That wouldn't be a wonderful thing on the whole, in my opinion. It would also do the same for you but with the added throbbing pain in the head as the ever-wonderful Mrs Godders gave you repeated well deserved clouts.

Thankfully the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov doesn't seem to mind getting up in the middle of the night to change the bed linen. In my opinion it is the waterproof rubber sheet over the mattress that spoils romance. The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov doesn't have a rubber fetish but she Is into bondage which is where the handcuffs come in handy. What turns me off though is having to talk dirty to her in a dodgy French accent whilst wearing a Saints' shirt with a number 4 on the back. It seems to turn her on but leaves me cold.

Outgoing leaders usually have great difficulty pushing through new laws, he's not a king, he has to operate within a system. Were he to explicitly move for something it could also impact the chances of another Democrat getting in. They desperately need a strong Democrat party, especially if the GOP have Jeb Bush as their candidate. But in all likelihood it will probably be an easy win for whoever the Republicans have.

Am I wrong to get pleasure out of tiger woods failing.

I have never really liked the guy for some reason. These days he is a poor shadow of the player he once was.

Should we be wanting this once great sportsman to regain his form and win majors again?

    It's a no from me.

And moi. I didn't like him at his peak and I don't like him now.

I do like being able to watch him now and say "I can do that" as he slices one 50 yards off the fairway into the long stuff :)

Yeah, I've always wanted to be as good as Tiger Woods at golf. Well that's happened now, but perhaps not in the way he or I would have envisaged....

I've never liked or disliked Tiger Woods at all. The thing I dislike is the media frenzy over Golf. I have much more interest in the VW, and I have very little in that. If ever there was an overpaid pastime it's that one. Great game to play, boring as **** to watch.

Yes, perhaps. But I wouldn't change my plans to watch it. Only if I had nothing else to do.
