Villa and then there's foreign clubs such as Red Star,Feyenoord,Dynamo Bucharest. You'll never see clubs such as this winning it ever again
Inter are (were) one of the big boys of Europe from one of the big leagues.Porto was in all honesty a one off ( I know they'd won the CL in the past ) Can you honestly see an Eastern European team winning the CL any time soon unless it's possibly one of the Russian teams being bankrolled by a billionaire. Can you see Celtic ever winning the CL again ? The fact is in the CL,UEFA have got what they always intended, the tops teams from the biggest leagues-England,Germany,Spain,Italy-fighting for the title year after year. The richest teams from the richest leagues with the biggest fan bases providing the largest TV audiences.
Well you Arsenal guys were baying for FFP to stop clubs like Chelsea and City breaking the Real Barca Bayern United dominance of Football. Now no one can stop established clubs with the biggest revenue/best commercial deals, and City/Chelsea have slipped through the net and overtaken you. We warned Arsenal fans that life may not be all titles and CLs for them post FFP
Arsenal's failure to develop their commercial revenue compared to Bayern etc is no one's fault but theirs. They thought stadium income and FFP would lead them to dominance Bayern did not put all their eggs in one basket and developed commercial revenue along with their stadium and won trophies Now sky TV money - not the new Emirates stadium moneys - will allow Arsenal to compete again financially with the best. Arsenal are dependent on the new sky TV money more than any of the 'big clubs' now
I wonder if Wenger would have any success as manager of Chelsea? Or would he drag them down to his level (ie. 4th in the Prem and last 16 in the CL, with the prospect of being overtaken by Spurs in a massive, yet not altogether unforeseen, power-shift)?
He'd panic at having at the prospect of having a competent GK, defence and holding midfielder and probably have a stroke.
I can see that some people are very upset by the fact that Arsenal are London's most successful club. Keep em coming lads
