If I was Dictator of this country, I certainly would have an intelligence test for prospective parents. Also, the age for have kids would be 21 and over. Also, no child benefit or housing benefit to anyone having children before they're 21. <SPONGINGCUNTS>
I dont agree with the parades either pal. I know well why they insist on walking through catholic areas. They do it to get a reaction/to try and feel superior and to try and ram it down our throats. There is no reason for them to march in catholic areas and their defence that they've done it for hundreds of years is a ****ing joke. They could **** off to a bigh field and sing and party to their hearts are content if thats what floats their boat - the reason they dont is because that doesnt suit their agenda or get up the noses of catholics However those who riot play into the orange orders hands. They make our community look bad to the worlds media. LIving here in england has tought me they know **** all about NI (mainly as they are shown a one sided argument through the media) however they see nationalists rioting and we are the bad guys. its down to a handful of ****wits who riot 99% of catholics like you and i deliberately avoid the parades and dont cause trouble. If the ****wits did likewise maybe the orange order would get bored or realise that scenes of our community rioting arent being flashed around the world they might eventually stop doing it or be stopped as the only trouble would be from their lots drunken behaviour - all that goes unnoticed as a result of a minority of neds throting stones!
I don't know what sparked the trouble in the bogside, or what the point of it was. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it. It isn't as if its an area where there'd have been any provocation. My guess is young guys just angry because of the day that's in it and no way of expressing that other than through violence. I am at a match up there tonight, so i'll try and find out a bit more.
I think you are reading the situation wrong. No one really cares what the people in England think or more so the media. In saying that, people know what the OO are. There protestations to the contrary hold no weight. The violence is always linked to the OO regardless of who is involved. The Ardoyne march will soon go the way of Drumcree. A couple more years at most. The PSNI will pull the plug. The amount of money wasted and people injured cannot be justifyed.
What's the problem anyway? It's not as if rioting's new is it? There were riots in every decade of the 20th century including the student protests of the 60s, the Toxteth and Brixton riots in the 80s and the Poll Tax riots in the 90s. Then there have been the recent student riots. Every time they happen we hear the same hand-wringing rubbish including ****e about "kids as young as 10". You can't beat a good riot!
Schemies in Edinburgh Neds in Glasgow. Chavs is a London thing so, obviously, it got picked up by the media and became the generic name for any sort of scum.
I agree that the orange order and their insistance on continuing to hold these parades close to (or actually in) catholic areas is at the root of the problem. But i also care that those outside of ireland are being shown our people as those involved in the violence. If you think trouble year in year out is the way to a solution to the problem though is foolhardy. If the history of our country shows anything its that violence doesnt always get you where you want to go
