I'll start the ball rolling. It's not often I take a bet and really want the punter to win, but the other day I took this one. Customer: Have you got any prices for the football yet? Me: Certainly, who do you want? Customer: Can I have £20 on Man Utd to get relegated? Me: (after falling off my chair) If you want to lose £20, you could always just give it to me. Customer: Can I make that bet? Is that allowed? Me: Certainly sir. Odds of 2,500/1 Customer: How much tax will I have to pay on that if it wins? Me: Nothing (trying hard not to laugh) That is one bet I would love to see come in - as well as my accas of course.
Reminds me of when we got promoted to the Premier League under Lambert, I put £5 on City to win the title at 5000-1
Anyway to answer your question Resurgam, I would like to see City finish top half and win the FA Cup (my Dad's 87 this year and it has always been his dream bless him) and for one of the so called 'big boys' to get relegated. My vote would go to Everton because I can't fecking stand them (I would prefer bloody Liverpool but that's never going to happen). Also, I would dearly love our 'friends' down the A140 to have a dreadful season and plummet into League One and then League Two the following season .................and the conference (or whatever it's called now), the season after that
I really really really really want some vital fifty fifty refereeing decisions to not go the way of the rich, metropolitan and powerful
I'd like to see SN23 streaking across the pitch in celebration of City securing the PL title in our final home game of the season. Bah!
I can't forget 1985 either. Coventry have suffered and now just the toffees to go and then I can sleep easy. Not that I hold a grudge you understand
I'd like to see us pass the ball across the back line without it resulting in me getting a really sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that it's all going to go horribly wrong.
I'd like to see us never pass the ball across the back line but always focus on getting rid[/BigMick]
I just want us to ENJOY this coming season, meaning we accrue points at a rate sufficient to allay any fears of relegation. A stress free season would be bliss. And it could well happen.
One of our forwards to hit 15 or more league goals. To see some attacking football get positive results at FCR Finish above Villa and two others at least.
To have more than three 3pm Saturday kick offs. Yes I know you cannot have the cash without the TV, but kick off times are starting to get a bit silly.
To have a pint of beer delivered to my seat as I watch City beat Man Utd Ok ........I'll drink the beer after the match!!! City⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️-0 Manure
