Although Fonte is a good defender he has been made to look better by having 2 quality DMs in front of him, also being coached by one of the greatest defenders ( and maybe managers) of his generation in Koeman has also helped. Given that the only step up now for Fonte is CL footy and challenging for league titles I think we can realistically rule out LFC as a possible destination. Unless he has seen the final day demolition v Stoke as some sort of 'blank canvass' to work with I think he will pass on the sideways move.
