Ahh good ol Splott! Yeah I know a few people from there, I used to live in Cathays though so just up a bit from Splott. I really like Cardiff - tbh I quite like most of the cities around here - Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath (just not Newport). where you from up North? my uncle lives in Denbigh (or at least near there)

I've got to say it's impressed me that as well as a few UNESCO heritage sites, and the Coast Path, that North Wales have got the worlds biggest zipline, the biggest man made surfing centre in Snowdonia, and that giant underground trampoline thing - another worlds 1st, as well as a white water centre of excellence, great mountain bike parks in Coed y Brenin and great climbing...

If you include Wrexham FC (my 2nd team) then it's all going on in the Gogledd!

The surfing place hasn't been built yet,my only problem with it is it will be a tourist attraction offering in the main low paid seasonal jobs.It is being built on the site of a now closed aluminium works which in it's heyday provided hundreds of well paid skilled jobs

I wonder if people who do the zip wires at Penrhyn & Blaenau think about the thousands who were employed there quarrying slate

Don`t know how many worked there at any one time but they are massive sites. When my daughter told me she was doing a mile zip line I said "you mean a mile of zip lines", had to have a look at it when she put me right.

Another brilliant area of Wales is the Brecon Beacons. It's a great area for hiking and off-road cycling.
