    Probably give Barton 60-75 minutes instead of coming off at HT. If Colo's not playing we'll hopefully use all of Taylor, Williamson and Kadar, and maybe even Remi Streete at CB.

    I'm guessing the team will be:

    Simmo--Saylor--Willo---Enrique
    Jonas---Barton--Cabaye--Fergie
    ----------HBA--------------------
    -----------------Ba---------------

    That's what I would play anyway, although Pards may want to give Gosling a game.

    May be carrying knocks so not worth the risk? You'd assume Tiote would play if fit as he missed the last few games of last season. Marv hasn't played since November has he so not really surprised there if he's not ready.

    Tiote and Marveaux not quite ready for a game yet, no explanation regarding Colo but the paper said he'll probably play the US games. Probably doing this to make Barton feel more involved since he'll miss some games.

    Any reason given as to why they're not in the squad? Injuries/not fit enough yet etc?

    It's a friendly, it wont be anything like full strength and there'll probably be 10/11 substitutions at half time.

    He only missed the last few games so he didnt get suspended with another yellow card, not becuase he was injured

    Possibly, but I think Pards will want to get the team gelled before the USA tour. People like Kadar, Vuckic etc. will come on at 1/2 time.

    Yeah, I know he wasn't injured - thought as he'd had a longer break since his last match they'd want him playing again in the first friendly as he'll be rustier than than the others.

    I wouldnt start with Ben Arfa, give him the last 20 mins.

    I's start with Ba and Shola up top in a 4-4-2

    Hate people that say we shouldn't play top players in games like this.

    Why? We are playing a **** team, stuff them, let a few players bag some goals to get confidence up, not to mention there are 5-6k going down. Don't want to go there on a Friday night to watch reserves! Let us see the players before they go to the US!
