For me it is a toss up between 4 songs.

Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd - It's never off rock radio.
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd - How many movies/TV shows has this been on?
Don't Stop Believing by Journey - Another one never off the radio and has appeared in many movies and TV shows.
Shook Me All Night Long by ACDC - No matter what pub or club you go into round our way you are bound to hear this song.

Don't get me wrong I like these songs but when you have heard them a few dozen times you start to get sick of them.

Madonna - Beautiful Stranger

Bros - When will I be famous

 

Impossible to overplay that song.

 

i like it. its only become annoying since everyone started to listen to it again after the sopranos.

 

Soft Cell - Tainted Love.

When I first heard it I thought it was a spoof, then I heard it was No1 in the Hit Parade.

****ing awful racket.

 

There's a few that get trotted out every Xmas. Slade and Wizard to name but 2.

I stopped listening to most radio stations because they all play the same pish. Usually listen to Classic FM, 6 music or Radio 3 if I'm feeling hardcore.

 

Sweet Jesus you are so right. It is almost a reason to hate Christmas

I like Classic FM as well. Also RTE Lyric and Raidió na Gaeltachta

 

I'm getting into Radio 2 these days.

But I would prefer if they would stop playing the songs and just talk.
