Cheers DJ. Can't help feeling we've been down this sort of road before with you over other matters on here just before you announce your intention to quit the board. I'd prefer to keep it non personal and let everyone have a laugh even if you seem incapable of it, but there you go - we cater for all.
It's been a bad way since H stopped being a mod, everyone since then seems to think it his role to either decry all things CCFC or defend all things SCFC. I keep popping in now and again Sparks to get my fix of anti Cardiff rubbish.
Dai - I don't know what happened to H, but agree he was a great mod. Maybe those of us since just aren't good enough and don't see the need to stop what you don't like. You've argued with Taff in the past and I thought you'd had enough. On the other hand, maybe you're the one out of step with the majority who post on here, and "popping in and out" of the forum is the best thing for you.
Taff was far too much in the SCFC camp, if you disagreed with them, you were at fault. I'm not the only one who thought that. A good guy but took the being unbiased too far. You on the other hand, put your hand up to say "I don't want to be a Mod" (again & again & again until we got tired of your protest) Ever since you have run MY TEAM down. Not my way.
This is nothing to do with being in "the SCFC camp" as you put it - Taff certainly wasn't. He posted genuine comments over there (as did I) and and got slammed by the old gang that controlled that board for his pains. This is more to do with the views held by some who posted nothing but unnecessary bitter comments that caused havoc on the board. As for the mod thing, H took it because I didn't want it at the time when asked - I had far too much on my plate. I was asked a few times since then and finally took it on when my personal circumstances changed. If you've got a problem with that, then tough. I very rarely have had to use any of my mod tools on this forum - there should be no need if everyone treats it as a chat and banter site rather than a war zone. To say Cardiff City FC is "MY TEAM" implies that any forum chat that doesn't sing the current regime's praises means that it isn't that of the poster. Now on an open forum such as this, that is utter crap. Anyone has the right to post what they like within reason.
You've got to admit, though DJ...its pretty difficult to be positive, although I don't particularly like all this Slade/Clown business either. I'd like to see the back of the guy as well, but the fact is he's here for the time being so lets get behind him and the team. BLOOOOOBIRDS.
Well. I for one am as excited as a 80 year old man in a sweet shop with City's first signing. Just what we need, an inexperienced young defender to play in the hard knock league which is the championship. You need grizzled and gnarled defenders built like teak not like a willow. I am wetting myself in anticipation at the announcement of the next new signing.
