Well he's clearly up to something dodgy if the allegations are true.

I dont understand how this can happen. Well actually I do, he was the great black hope for on the track in 2012 and we brushed it under the carpet. Miss a test and any athlete should get an immediate ban. Simple as. Miss 2 tests and it should be a lengthy one.

OK I'll happily join any queues to condemn him IF this turns out true, but cmon, its the Daily Mail and they used the words "appears to" and "seems to".

I hate trial by media, especially when it's by a "newspaper" with their track record and approach to journalism.

Really you should think before coming out with the usual anti Daily Mail crap. It is in the Guardian and Independent as well. Neither of them as widely read as the DM or winners of as many journalism awards of course but are you saying they are not to be believed, either?

The M thing was in McDonalds adverts during the 80s, way before Mo started doing it.

Mould discovered in a field, fed sugar in vats and allowed to fester, then pressed and put on a plate. The devil's foodstuff.

Both of those refer to the Daily Mail. This thread referred to the Daily Mail. I despise almost all current news media, I don't have a particular thing about the Mail, they're as bad as all of the red tops.

Journalism awards? <laugh> Right, so, who exactly votes for and awards those?? <laugh>

It's a sad reflection on what I would have previously considered reputable and reliable news sites such as the Guardian, Independent, BBC etc that they feel it necessary to follow the Mail journalistic model of copying crap from other sites.

Journalism awards are voted for by other journalists. Which suggests that people actually involved in the business have a higher opinion of them than someone who isn't.
Your last sentence is meaningless. Leaving aside that the Guardian and Independent have their own agenda just as much as the DM, often noticeable by what they choose not to print, who has copied from other sites? Has the DM copied from them, which makes your first post even more ridiculous, or have they copied from the DM? Or have they all copied from another source.
The fact is it is a breaking news story, reported in various papers. But because the one which was highlighted some over excitable people jump in without thinking and making themselves look like over wrought hysterics.

Is it a breaking news story or is it a made up news story?

    TWT obviously.

It's amusing that supposedly intelligent people swallow crap like these, then sharpen their pitchforks in readiness for a public lynching without having anything actually confirmed and proven. It's even more amusing that some of these same people then rush in to defend these bastions of free speech, truth and honesty all wide eyed with spittle flying out of their mouths.

That's you btw, in case that's not obvious.

What makes you think it is a made up story? Even more ironic is the fact that any story about anyone who you are not a fan of is accepted by you without any caveats.

If you are referring to me then you didn't to use the word supposedly.

Now I see the basis for your pseudo-intellectual persona you play online and why you rush to defend unscrupulous news rags like the Mail. You also like playing fast and loose with the truth.

One of my more endearing traits that regardless of my view on anyone or anything, I accept nothing without any caveats. I'm anal about demanding certifiable and provable facts.

A better example of irony is you claiming to be intelligent then missing an important word out of that assertion, which I've highlighted in the quote for you.

Wow, I missed a word out. Einstein was noted for being absent minded BTW.

To have one of more endearing traits means having a number of endearing traits. I must say you keep these well hidden.
