back to the topic!! ESPN reports quoting French Sports daily: Blues pay just over £7 million to loan Falcao for the season with a buyout clause of £35 million. This is just Stupidity.
The only stupidity is from the person that wrote that. There is absolutely no way that a player can earn MORE than the previous season after scoring 4 goals in 30 odd appearances as a striker. We won't be paying as much of his wages as United were and the loan fee will also be lower.
That's all well and good if you consider 17 points to be a 'fine margin'. It's not an opinion whether Falcao will be playing with better players than last season. The 'fine margin' makes it a fact. We're not expecting much but I expect Falcao to be a little more comfortable in our set up rather than feeding off scraps from knock downs off after it being wellied down the field.
To be fair I don't recall him having much impact in either game last season. Mata seemed to be the one on the end of the long ball stuff that beat you home and away.
We should have signed tevez from city back in the day. Always been a magnificent player, just a bit of a mad one
yeah it seems his link at Athletico with Costa and the one with Cuadrado for Colombia is a big factor.
Thing is we have to trust Jose on this one. As I've said before, better players around him with a better manager then who knows? We'll see.
I agree with the better player / manager argument. BUT We lost the league to City in 2014 just because of Jose's experiments with Nando!! Whatever you multiply with Zero you get Zero!!
TBF Nando was already there and he had to make do. Nando was always off at the end of the season and Jose didn't want him. He wants Falcao so obviously sees something in him. I may be wrong but let's just see what happens.
Jose doesn't do make dos. We got Zero for Nando at the end of the season. If anyone can - Jose could have definitely sat Nando on his backside. Jose underestimated everyone and wanted to win it all with the little pony. Looks like Rad is another one of Jose's pet projects or there is truly a business reason behind it through Jorge Mendes.
That can happen. Look no one knows if he'll come good, but those at the Club who know more than us mugs, think he will. That's good enough for me to get behind them.
And so it should be, I backed LvG with his decision to try him and would have been quite happy if he had stayed for another year.
Can I post a Matth -esque thread proclaiming how I've always loved Falcao, so glad we signed him and not those scummers Liverpool and that he'll prove his doubters wrong next year....
lol 3-4 years ago i'd have been chuffed with signing him. But its taken a **** load of injuries and massive dip in quality and 4 years before we were able to get our hands on him. Its like when you are a kid and one of your mates steals one of his dads cans of beer and you share it between 5 of you, and are really excited, but by the time it gets to you last, all thats left is everyone elses back wash..
We all know it's got disaster written all over it. Guy looks finished at the tope level. Just hope Jose sees or knows something I don't. P.S you've really made UIR angry. He's had a right meltdown on the premier league board (grand expansion thread)
