This 1977 classic Naughty Naughty Naughty from Joy Sarney...takes some beating (no pun intended) as a bad release. How the feck she stood there and kept a straight face on TOTPs throughout this I do not know.
OLM, this is the TOTPs version backed with their orchestra - in other words EVEN WORSE than the original. Speaking of the original, a few members of ELO no less backed him on this record with Jeff Lynne producing. I doubt this 'masterpiece' cemented his place in the Traveling Wilbury's...
Have to agree, excruciating. Also the record which spawned a million karaoke emulators, only some of whom were painfully unaware of how hilariously off key they sound; Whitney Houston's "I will always love you"
I said pop song. I dont own it, I never would play it but it's brilliant in the same way that Biology by Girls Aloud or Shake It Off by Taylor Swift is. All of them kick the living **** out of The Day We Caught The Train and it's retro ****ing trousers. What's better, trying something new and pushing boundaries or just repeating something from 30 years earlier so pathetic middle aged men can remember when they were young and thin?
Anything at all by Chicago, The Eagles, Foreigner, Genesis, REO Speedwagon, Supertramp and Hall & Oates
The Power of Love - Jennifer Rush Lady in Red - Chris de Battenburg I just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder. Ebony & Ivory - Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder EDIT: For Carmine. Kula Shaker's Hey Dude & their version of Hush were ace.
