    How does this work then...
As I had foolishly believed deadline day was the last day if the season (yes, I know. I should have read more carefully), I missed my opportunity to renew (hence my post above).
I noted Wetherspoon had managed to secure his, so I chanced it at the ticket office Wednesday.
I was told I couldn't renew as had to try after 8th.
So I pointed out that my friend had renewed that very morning (posted his form Tuesday, received at club Wednesday and got confirmation email same day) to which I was told they were still working on postal applications!
How was that a fair decision when I was in effect presenting my forms at the same time as postal deliveries, yet I couldn't be considered.
Surely, if you have missed the deadline, you have missed it???

There isn't really anything 'fair' about it but it's easier to reject you and process the postal forms

traditional egyptian things. a few pyramids, some sand, some wrapped up dead things, some cuddly hieroglyphs and perhaps a cute little sphyncter.

Of the 55,000 season tickets holders at Dortmund, only 93 haven't renewed.

    If only...

It shows the opposite of our club.
Their passholders are happy with the way their club is run.
Hull City are run by ****y dictators hence the drop off of 8,000 (i think) pasholders.

I would say this is of interest

It's an example of what can happen when a club puts its fans ahead of all else.

55,000 season ticket holders, with a 30,0000 waiting list and an 88,290 average attendance, the highest in world football.

All this in a city smaller than Leeds.

Cheap tickets, cheap beer, cheap food, cheap shirts, it's all about the fan.

We could, and should, learn a lot from them.

Tickets range in price from €29.00 for a seat in the upper corners to €50.00 for a central seat at the main stand. A ticket for the South Stand (standing) costs €15.00. Prices are increased with 20% for six top matches.

<laugh> What a bullshit story, nobody is going to buy eight kits(three of them keeper kits ffs), it's as ridiculous as claiming Hull City supporters have to pay £179 for their kits. The fact is that you don't have to buy any shirts at all, you can go and watch Dortmund at every home game for £160 a season, almost a quarter of what it costs for a West Stand pass at the KC.

And it's not the specifics that matter, it's the principal of putting the fans first, they absolutely put us to shame.

I thought it was a league thing (prices) rather than club specific

The clubs set the prices, I don't know if there are parameters they have to work within, but they're definitely not the same at all clubs, Bayern's start much lower and run quite a bit higher.

I thought the league told the teams they had to keep them affordable to keep the grounds full. This is something the FA should suggest, although I'm not too sure how many would follow the suggestion as they have in Germany

I've just checked and there are no specific rules on ticket prices in Germany, though the FFP rules that have been brought in here are roughly based on the model that already existed in Germany. The main reason that the fans get such a substantially better deal in Germany, is that the fans are the majority shareholders in the clubs.
