Perhaps he thinks it will be more suitable for his talent to play in the one horse Scottish league than the EPL plus of course he is Glaswegian so he may support them
http://news.ladbrokes.com/football/...gue-pair-improve-watfords-ill-discipline.html Interesting discussion around our defensive vulnerability... plus the usual guff. I guess those who bet are placing bets now on us staying up.....
Surely not... http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/16/report-alex-geijo-could-return-to-watford-next-season/page/1/ Hardly played in the Championship first time around.
This is in english http://as.com/diarioas/2015/06/16/english/1434475993_548461.html Three more for zens list. Pablo Sarabia Escudero Álvaro Vásquez all are from Getafe in Spain.
The more this post season goes on the more difficult I think it is to keep all the players we want and sign all the targets we want. Also so many of the rumours are ridiculous on various counts. For instance today the Standard report that the nearly done deal for Gestude at 6m is on hold so that Flores can assess his squad first before deciding if he wants him. 2 things wrong with that - we have made no offer and would not pay that price for him (agent hype I suspect). 2nd - Flores may be allowed an opinion but we have a recruitment team and no targets will be on hold waiting for Flores to say yes. He may have influence but not decision making. Also it's unlikely we will be interested in his ex players (maybe one, but even that's doubtful)
The only rumours which seem to hold water are the wobby ones.... but they tend to come very late... when deals are virtually done
We should thank our lucky stars really - pity the poor newcastle fans who can't even rely on their local press to help them
Has this one been mentioned. I am losing track. WATFORD are looking to wrap up a deal for Chelsea flop Oriol Romeu. According to The Sun, the Premier League new boys are hoping to sign the Spanish midfielder on loan with a view to a £6m permanent option. Romeu, 23, is expected to set the Hornets back £1m for the initial spell. He joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2011 but has been shipped out on loan to Valencia and Stuttgart in recent seasons. Romeu hinted towards the end of last season that he was planning to leave the club for good.
I don't thinks so; neither played for Granada or Getafe, and only Gianni Rivera played for Udinese, even if it was in the early sixties. Also I think being an MEP is slightly more lucrative for Gianni Rivera than pulling on the gold and black of the Hornets would ever be. Luigi Riva might be a good replacement for Troy if the Newcastle rumour pans out into something more substantial, but no Premier League experience.
According to L’Équipe, Lille defender Marko Basa has an offer on the table from Premier League side Watford. Watford are able to get the player at a reduced price due to a clause in his contract which was inserted into his recent contract extension until 2019 which allows for this to occur up until a certain date. At the moment, the Montenegrin international is hesitating. More to follow.
Interesting assumption there Zen. MEP's earn a basic salary of about € 84,000 per year, €7,000 per month, turn that into pounds and it's around 5 and a half thousand per month - our players are mostly on much more than this. Some of our players earn more than David Cameron does - just food for thought.
From what I've seen the Udinese fans will be spitting coals if we land this fella over them... and that's the ones who are in favour of the three way partnership!
Most players want to try and play at the highest level and thats the EPL its the only league that its a tuf game every week and then there is the money
