Sinning is fine if you're CofE mate....we just ask for forgiveness on our deathbed and all is well None of this hail mary and confession box "bend over while I spank you" lark on our side of the fence #sometimesthegrassreallyisgreener
#heathen Went with a few mates to watch the Ireland v Scotland game in Pogues on Saturday and a couple of lads had Ireland tops on, when it finished we decided to go to the Liffey for a few but never realised the Lodge were forming up for a parade outside the bombed out church. We got called Fenian and Papish ****s by the onlookers as we strolled through the crowd, nothing changes with some people.
the truth Liverpool like every other city and town in England was once Catholic including the insultative proddys ancestors, if it wasn't for Catholics there'd be no protestants today. #thankyourancestors
No mate, they invented electric trains between Liverpool and Southport so that is their preferred mode of getting there on the 12th.
the they have a stroll though most parts of the city before they head out to the place that the tide never comes in. they have lodges all over the city RHC.
In all seriousness, I didn't realise it was still so prevalent. It's funny that most people from outside the city assume we're all Catholics, because of the 'Irish Connection'
yeah, but although it's not as big a parade as it used to be its still a big deal and tradition to some, on your point about Catholics/Ireland, most protestants happily co-exist with those from Ireland or those that have an Irish connection, its only the bitterr and brainwashed few that take offence to the city's links to Ireland.
