I would rather be playing QPR at home than Shrewsbury away First impressions are that our opening 4 games -QPR, Derby & Forest away, followed by Hull at home, look tough. And what bright spark came up with Bristol City away on Boxing Day ?
Yes it looks a really tough August, I can't see many points gained. But one never knows with Charlton.
And when we are in the same position third season in a row aka squad full of dross, **** football being played and the manager being sacked, will our fans do anything? Maybe a meeting and a few strongly worded emails. We really have a lot of fans with no backbone who are willing to accept anything no questions asked.
That is very harsh Don. You are forgetting the power of holding 14 separate committee meetings, followed by a strongly worded resolution threatening to withdraw Richard Murray's free pint of shandy at the next meeting of Bromley Addicks.
Not back in the country til February, my first game of the season will be Bristol City at home, nothing like a relegation 6 pointer
Will reserve judgement until I see who we bring in. As kish says, last year was a tough start and we did well.
I do think its a joke that we have to travel to Bristol on Boxing Day - it means I will have to spend a large part of the festive period on the M4 rather than watching Ant and Dec's Xmas special. Why couldn't we have played QPR, Fulham or Brentford on Boxing Day?
