    These bad boys are out at 9am today.
    We normally start with a top 4 club on day 1 so I expect that to continue.
    I'm just hoping the Mackem game isn't in August as I'm on lots of planes that month so am likely to miss it.
    Any preferences from yourselves?

    I was gonna post earlier "probably swansea or southhampton - to give them a nice starting win to set them on their way".

    It is southhampton. Followed by Swansea.

    So it seems we have reasonable opponents from March onwards, during which time we will have to save our Premier League status. So thats a bonus. the first 6 weeks looks brutal mind. 1-3 points from those first 6 games imo..

    Unless we start spending soon we are doomed!!! What are the odds of us going down? I`ll be having more than a few quid on that outcome!! I can not see how we can achieve 50+ points next season, unless we have some serious investment. I work it out as between 35-45 points. Which means we are in deep do-do again!!

    That will help, I hope you get an away game in Ukraine or Turkey!

    I looked to see if there was a run of games where we could possibly build some momentum, but no, if we go the first 4 games without a win, confidence will be knocked and it will be difficult. I cant see us winning a game with this current squad

    It's less than 2 months away and we're not even close to signing someone. Last year in a dismally underwhelming Summer we'd ALREADY signed Colback and Perez. De Jong was at an advanced stage.

    I'm slowly beginning to realise we're going to start the new season with at least 9 from this one. On the pitch.

    We should be looking to get 2 wins, 2 draws and whatever that shall come from Man Utd/Arsenal in the first 6 games!

    I don't like a lot of them. A couple of decent-looking blocks but they're sandwiched between about 3 unpleasant-looking ones, including the start and end. We'd do well to get 3-6 points from the first 8 games, and though the games get easier after that we've seen in the past how teams who start badly can struggle to recover (we were fortunate last season).

    Christ. At least I have another 7 weeks or so of bliss.
