Some clever clogs has done a mock up of what the ground might look like.

When I was in Germany one of my friends had British Sky. He had somehow managed to get a Sky subscription to a British address and then brought his card and box to Germany and found a signal there. Would the French government be upset if you were operating a contract with a British company from a British address and using the product in France.

Morning viewing can be repeats of Troy Deeneys goal against Leicester City and George Riley against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup half final.

This is how tens of thousands of UK expats watch sky in France & Spain. Officially this is not condoned by Sky but they know it is common practice. Frenchie prefers not to break the law so resists.

Have they not now done something with the signal direction thus limiting access?

The only limit is the size of the dish. Our normal sky dish worked perfectly well in south west France. The expats in Spain have to use a larger size.

I think it was this that I had read. We don't watch TV in France..... but my parents had different dishes in Spain.

Sky do not have a licence to broadcast to France although if a signal is up there providing you have a Sky box with card you can receive the broadcast. Sky have made some effort to stop people getting hold of the card, yet it is not impossible to get a relative in the UK to buy one for you, and you will find them for sale on ebay. The free to air broadcasts became more difficult for the people living further south to receive after the BBC changed satellites and directed the signal more at the UK. Some people did have to install a larger dish, although it didn't have much effect on us halfway down the country. We can get all the channels, French and English, plus ones that are in the HD format.
There is plenty of free TV available here without paying for Canal+ or Sky, and with some of it available via a computer which can be joined to a TV if you wish providing you have sufficient broadband speed. The whole thing is a mess really. No one is sure when a stream is legal or illegal. I can watch Sky broadcast football when it is streamed from certain countries. Spain brought in new laws meaning that companies who streamed from there were breaking the law. Certain well know companies stopped their broadcasting because they had servers in that country.
Our by now famous game against Leicester has been on then off YouTube countless times as the FL say it is their copyright. As fast as they have it removed someone else uploads it again. They might as well give up because so many people have it as a record of that amazing day it will keep popping up. TV, the football authorities who benifit and the law makers have to realise that the internet is not going to go away and people will continue to find ways around copyright laws. I don't see the argument about watching a Sky broadcast in a country where they legally cannot transmit to providing it comes from a country where it is not breaking the law.

One of the very few French persons I did not like was the local sky dish fitter in Gaiilac, Tarn back in 1999. He fitted the dish but the reception was poor so I checked with the supplier from Hemel Hempstead who assured me the dish was facing in the wrong direction. When I informed him he told me he had been fitting dishes for 10 plus years and should not doubt him. As he stormed off in a huff (it was 5 minutes to 12.00 so urgent lunch time awaiting) I climbed on to the roof and moved the dish slightly, the wife screamed from the lounge to hold it there.

Apparently about that time a new satellite had been launched which the french seemed to know very little about, maybe those with problems now need to slightly adjust the dish direction to pick up a superior reception.

If you look closely at the building at the end of the street, can you see someone wearing a red protective hat?

I passed by the Vic tonight and took some photos...looks like they are putting some kind of facia on the Vicarage Road Stand , and they are also putting up hoardings around the red lion Garden. Main thing is the rear extension of the SEJ stand.
