Think I may go for the Chicken Supper followed by a round of toast. No chance of me wasting away just yet.

    Here and never forgotten!

    So.

Do you really deep fry all sorts of food...such as ice cream, pizza and dare I say the famous mars bar?

Yeah, I'm afraid so. I've not had the Mars bar or any other such "delights" but I did once order the deep-fried pizza, an experience never to be forgotten. :emoticon-0119-puke:

PS I should add I was stoned at the time.

Deep-fried pizza is the business <ok>. There's nothing like it when the oil drips down your chin after the first bite. Lovely.

deep fried pizza is class <ok> its so greasy and fatty that it tastes amazing. Fat = Flavour. Never had the mars bar before though.

also the pizza crunch is even better, Pizza in batter then deep fried. <heartdisease>

Definitely. Proof if needed that there is no God. Or if there is, He is a harsh and vengeful God.

I'm not a big fan of Chippies.

Though I do like their Haggis from time to time.

  16. There's a chippy in Dunblane that used to sell crocodile suppers and all sorts.

Watching QI the other night on Dave. They were talking about a 'stauner'. A sausage wrapped in doner meat, battered and deep fried. Seemingly this is a Glasgow thing.

Having lived in and around Glasgow for most of my days I have never seen or heard of this. Has anyone tried one? (the culinary delight, not the other meaning)

Never heard of it. What's the score with the Edinburgh "Sauce" though? It's an incredibly secret formula that only every single chippy in Edinburgh seems to know about.
