meh, I imagine he'll get a few goals the Bo, the service he got at United was woeful. He's no Fellaini, smashing punts at him won't do.

With Hazard and co against many of the lesser sides I can see him getting 10+ goals throughout the season, maye more who knows. he just doesn't have the ability to e going and creating his own from nothing, that went with his last injury.

Would be hilarious if he banged in a winner v United

As much as that would be funny, this signing still bugs the **** outta me.
Remy scored more goals, in far less game time, and you can guarantee he will have been on less than half what Falcao was on at United.
Maybe he will improve with us, we do play closer to Atletico's style than United, who play in Sam Allardyce's style. But why take the risk on such a costly player, when there are far better options out there?

I suggest you go watch several united games where he has played, then look at him for Monaco or Atletico, look at the difference in how he was used and the service he got. he likes to get on the end of good crosses and pullbacks, not punts from Jones and Smalling <laugh>

Where as at United he was getting the ball with back to goal and few balls into space behind the defence and not so many quality balls for him to feed off of, or cutbacks, he will get more at Chelsea, especially feeding off of Hazard and Oscar and others. He's not the single striker to lead the line when Chelsea go defensive and play tough games, he's the guy who you play when you are in and around the 18 yard area and dominating lesser teams and whipping in nice early balls

He's not a long ball game player.

Still seems a little unclear what type of deal this is meant to be. Some are saying loans, some a buy, some are saying we have to send players to them on loan in return....

Anyway you carve it, he'll be back up to Costa and is (probably) an improvement on what Drogba offered last year. Perhaps there are better deals out there but some of the strikers we've been linked with have gone elsewhere (the Japanese lad and the one from Palermo for instance), so perhaps our options have been narrowed.

A massive pay cut is the first step. There is no way he can demand anywhere near what United were paying. If Monaco want him off their books, they should contribute towards the silly money they offered him in the first place to take a step down to French football.

Maybe Jose will adopt Atletico's tactics and play them together, like they did in Madrid.
They know one anothers game I suppose.

Looks like Monaco want Pasalic and Musonda on loan in return. If this does happen and they get a game there that would be massive experience and would be great for us. Not seen much of Pasalic but Musonda looks outstanding. Still don't really want Falcao even though we'd get a good deal on the two loans..

Anybody know the Prem side who's bid for Tevez? I reckon it's Arsenal but i hope it's us!

True but can't see it myself as Jose loves one up top.

I think he's worried about Costa's injury record.

Tevez, now that makes much more sense. Premier league proven and coming off the back of a good spell in Italy. Also has the work rate to suit Jose.

It's probably Liverpool though, they seem keen on a forward.

Both Arsenal AND Liverpool could do with Tevez to be honest.
Though given the choice Arsenal would be his best bet.
I would take Arsenal seriously as a title threat, even if Wenger is in charge, if they sign a decent CB and Tevez.

I suggest you watch football as its clear you've never seen it.

Falcao got plenty of chances, his movement was not an issue. His strength and ability to create a yard was. He has simply dropped from the top level.

His performances for Columbia show this too.

For what its worth I actually agreed with MiR's post about Falcao.
He just pisses me off though.
Think Falcao is done and signing him will be a huge mistake.

Totally understand the trepidation lads and I share it too.

I'm trying to look at this positively. Jose knows that Falcao is hurt and has a point to prove. Additionally he would have learned bucket loads from his first season in England. With a pre season with us and playing amongst far better players than he had at United this could turn out far better than we are expecting.

Think we've been stung on strikers going over the hill, Shevchenko and Torres.

One thing about Falcao though he's never been one to use his pace and strength to outmanoever defenders and he's never been a take a defender on style which is what Shevvy and Torres were after their respective injuries / age. I'm hopeful that Falcao will do well (even though i don't think he suits Mous style)

He may not score a goal but he'll be the best centre forward tracker back in the country.:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Falcao losed his finishing ability, he missed so many sitter for United it was embarrassing. Though him RVP and even Rooney where missing chances for fun last season.
