Everton are set to complete a £2.2million deal to sign Barcelona attacker Gerard Deulofeu, according to Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. Well... that will be one hell of a coup! Guy was very highly rated couple years ago and did well at Everton, for £2m could be an absolute steal! Sure @Tobes will be happy edit:Barca apparently have option to buy him back at a later date for set price though
Liverpool will make an improved offer for Southampton's England right-back Nathaniel Clyne. The Reds had a £10m bid for the 24-year-old rejected at the end of May. (Liverpool Echo) Everton are close to completing a deal to bring Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu back to the club in a £3m transfer. The 21-year-old spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Goodison Park. (Daily Star) Liverpool may sign Charlton's 18-year-old defender Joe Gomez as a replacement for Uruguay centre-back Sebastian Coates, who is expected make his loan move to Sunderland permanent in a £4m transfer. Tottenham are close to completing the £3.5m transfer of 24-year-old former England Under-21 defender Kieran Trippier from Burnley, having seen off rival interest from Liverpool, Newcastle, West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton. (Daily Mail) Spurs are also interested in signing 23-year-old Egypt winger Mohamed Salah from Chelsea. (Evening Standard) An unknown Premier League club and three other teams abroad have made offers for Liverpool target Carlos Tevez. According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are not one of the clubs to make a bid for the Juventus striker, despite strong rumours that Kop boss Brendan Rodgers was nearing a deal. Tevez has a year left on his Juve contract and has been linked with move back to the Premier League.
Yes, its all in he name, he sounds southern American, shame Danny Ings wasn't Jamie (pronounced Hi-me) Ings!
Cant' saw I've seen Gomez play but he is highly rated and has impressed at international level by all accounts. Another talented player - good to stockpile youth and sell for profits later on.
Until we start to rival Chelsea City and others in the transfer market we going no where buying left over.
Yes, cracking deal for us that one. Gerard is a very talented lad, his weak spot was his team play. Settling into a permanent home as opposed to merely looking to impress as a loanee means we should be able to integrate him more into the side as opposed to largely using him as an impact sub. Not bothered about the buyback clauses, as the lad himself would have to want the return and he'd only want that if he was going to actually play. He'd therefore have to be really impressing for Barca to want to take him back with first team assurances. So it's a no lose for us really, given the tiny fee.
Yup it's a case of if he does really well that help everton so if barca step back in they step back in. It's an excellent price as he prove he can do it. It means no lennon right?
To swap Coates for him is a good deal. We must see our youth defenders are not all that like lloyd Jones etc. We will see. I'd say hey stay at Charlton next seadon once he signs it is a higher level than our u21s.
