Might have been easier because we knew what was happening but from my end looked so obvious that you really didn't want him to get any secret power that he was hinting to <laugh>

To be honest, i didn't pay much attention over the weekend. After all the secret powers and hidden roles malarkey in the first few days i kind of stopped paying proper attention as there was nothing i could really trust anymore. Plus not making notes doesn't help (at work half the time so no notes there) + **** am i going to re-read 134 pages of threads to look at everything again.

  3. On the dead board, I said that normally I've got two or three roles pinned by the end of day two. In this game I had nothing bar Tobes being guilty, but even then I was convinced he was Cartel (prior to his Pablo post).

Think that's why I was so jumpy though. I was convinced at some point that someone would look back at Tobes lynching and see I voted for MITO. Then with the dodgy secret power story I was convinced the slightest nudge would send everyone down on me. He played his non role brilliantly.

I was amazed that no-one looked back at the point I was exposed by Valley post my lynching, to see if there was any early defending of me - which there was! I only declared myself as Pablo to try and stop people looking at the possible associations on the day, but fully expected them to look back post the truth being revealed, but it never happened

It is funny even as Town looking back and you go "oh yeah that was so obvious!" but at the time due to amount of posts and not really knowing things just slip under the radar.

  8. I stopped paying 100% attention to what people actually say quite a few games ago. Tend to watch how they are acting, how helpful they're trying to be and whether they are latching on to anyone.

I think you outdid AFC in terms of number of seperate posts... and outdid MITO in terms of words per post as well <laugh>

  13. Tennis' posts were longer. For the record, I have no idea what any of the long posts said after the first paragraph #cba

I believe that makes it a losing streak.

I also think I'm yet to win or lose more than one game in a row. Every time I play quite well and win, I am immediately lynched or taken out by mafia or town killer on day one of the next game.

    Ok, I'm now caught up.
Having thought long and hard about it I'm going:

    Less Hope

My reasoning is that I think he's been playing us like a Violin.

That's odd because every time I've played, you die early <laugh>

  19. Dying early doesn't mean you're not on the winning side but yeah, I've only survived in one game but that was also the only time I was Mafia and we won :)

Just wanted to say thanks to afctw for his sterling work, in my 1st mafia game..had no idea how it was played or even heard of it before..

Swarbs and nev ..well played, well played indeed, Sirs

Cheers to all the...proper players too..am finally beginning to see, how the game is meant to be played via your posts

Nev...you complete and utter bastard!!! I truly thought you were one of the good guys..never to make that mistake again.

Your huge tracts of good guy texts..really did help me start to learn the..thinking..behind the game so it was really useful..even though you were playing everyone like a violin..bastard

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread..been fascinating
