It is a poor attempt at WUMming, I will admit.

Though I do listen to The La's more than The Beatles.

One of my big pleasures is some of the stuff thrown up on our Friday night music threads, when I've had a sh*t day I have often had some brandy close by, headphones on and just clicked on the many diverse music videos that our posters like. Sometimes it works when I listen to some stuff I would never have touched in a million years and been pleasantly surprised, the genre's are varied but some just get my attention. As an example, Miley Cyrus, she has a session called the back yard sessions I think, just acoustics and her singing, brilliant she really can sing away from that Wrecking Ball stuff and as for the acoustic or guitar playing threads, as much as I love the stuff it only amplifies (no pun intended) my own inadequacy at playing level, hey ho.

    Yes, constantly.

Far and away the finest rock band this country ever produced.

It's raw, visceral, angry, power, and all the better for it.

You can if you want to though. I don't get why you'd like the LA's over The Beatles, but I'm not "having a go" at all. I just think you are very very wrong.

I don't like them over The Beatles, I just seem to listen to them more.

My favourite band is The Smiths, but I know I listen to Nirvana, The Doors, Hendrix, Radiohead, etc. more often than I do The Smiths.

    Some stuff.

"Gigantic" and "Debaser" are particularly good. There are a bit too arty at times. Keeping it simple is usually best.

Yeah, anything from Doolittle backwards is great, not a massive fan after that, apart from a few tracks on Bossanova, particularly Velouria.

I like the alternate rock Radiohead of the 90s, pretty much most of the stuff after OK Computer I'm not a big fan of apart from maybe In Rainbows.

The Bends might be my favourite ever album, either that or The Queen Is Dead.

"Subbacultcha" springs to mind. Tuneless. Who are they trying to be? The Birthday Party?
