Are you sure they don't mean that the hovis building might be down for early 2017

We seem to just let buildings rot in this city , then set fire to them or just demolish them

The world's slowest demolition continues, this is it today, it looks like about the same as it did three weeks ago...

The owner is claiming the facade is beyond repair and applied for a demolition order, hence the petition.

A demolition order doesn't necessarily apply to the full building.

In a statement, Hull City Council said it had received an application seeking permission for "full demolition" of the chapel.

I don't doubt that's what the application says, it doesn't mean it's the plan.

I pass it every day and was thinking the same thing, unless it's something to do with it fronting the main road what's stopping them.

Why didn't they just shut the road off one Sunday and use explosives
Surely this must be delaying the start of the Radison hotel

And what's the delay on the bridge
It was supposed to be a 3/4 month project that was over a year ago
Progress certainly is slow in this city
    Everything moves in slow motion

Probably not a good idea with Gamebore cartridges across the road.

When they stripped back the bridge they found much more damage than expected and as s consequence it's turned into twice the job.
