    The owner is claiming the facade is beyond repair and applied for a demolition order, hence the petition.

    In a statement, Hull City Council said it had received an application seeking permission for "full demolition" of the chapel.

    Why didn't they just shut the road off one Sunday and use explosives

    It was supposed to be a 3/4 month project that was over a year ago
    Progress certainly is slow in this city

    When they stripped back the bridge they found much more damage than expected and as s consequence it's turned into twice the job.
