Another sprint victory for Paul Midgley, decent race to win over in Ireland. He looks to be doing well with his sprinters after that 1-2 in the Epsom dash last week as well.

Interesting bits and pieces of money for OPERA BARON 66/1 in the Salisbury 4:35
Probably amount to nothing but I have always liked juvenile form figures that read 04 and it was in a very decent looking race last time.

Obviously I hope England win and win well but I just can't believe that Wayne Rooney is on the verge of becoming England's all time top goal scorer!

Why not Badger? One of our best ever players. Started when he was a teenager. Makes sense to me.

It's just that Bob. One of our best ever players? Really? Overrated always has been. It's the same with Klose for Germany being all time top goal scorer in World Cup history. Good player yeah sure but not exactly a great

Well I've watched him at Old Trafford for years and am pretty certain he's the best striker we've had since I started watching. Whether being the best striker in the best team in England for ten years means he's a great or not is up for debate I suppose.

I'd agree that is up for debate mate. Man United fans probably do agree, well most of them would anyway, I know a few who don't. But being the best doesn't necessarily make him a great it just means there's been a severe lack of competition to challenge for the best most other recent England strikers have been piss poor

Well another second but getting hammered by 18l ain't much to be chuffed about <doh> Didn't see the race, anyone give me an idea of why it was stuffed so bad??? Did it jump ok?

Really enjoyed the England match, definitely more entertaining than the stale affairs us Irish teams served up yesterday!

The winner was held up out the back and crept all the way whilst Haddington Road made the running and was leading jumping the last but was out on his feet when the winner came swinging on the bit beefy. Bridgets Pet had the ability to do it and he was on a going day today for sure.
