COPS tried to axe a match between Rangers and Stirling Albion last night amid reports fans chanted sectarian songs. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sco.../Cops-bid-to-axe-Gers-game-in-chants-row.html I look forward to Medro and Preston telling us it was Stirling Albion fans!
they have a reputation for this so by continuing to do it they are hardly blighting their reputation, enhancing is a word i would use to describe it
In other words, complete bullshit/non-story. Here Stereo, so much of your boycott of the Murdoch empire. TIT
Deflect from the non-story? A source PM's me last night to tell me that you were in Belfast last night throwing petrol bombs. You bigot you <shakeyfist>
At least they finally won a game against a part time side. Is it any coincidence that McCoist wasn't in charge of this one?
They let off a couple of flairs hardly full scale rioting, I bet it was three teenages then a big guys shouted "oh you stop that or you'll get to see the game". That's enough for a headline along the lines of 'Fans Put Life at Risk as Major Police Operation Pervents Cancelation of Match'.
I think wee Stereo just outed himself as a Sun reader If he is as intelligent as he claims then he must be on the wind up here, although if he's believing everything the Sun says then deary deary me My best mate was at the game and here's what happened. Some idiots let of firecrackers and a flare - No big deal, we've seen that in SPL matches quite a few times and nobody has said anything. No sectarian songs were sung, although there was some jumped up wee steward instigating a discussion every time a chant started up (a sad sign of things to come this season) Said jumped up steward seized a loudspeaker off a member of the Blue Order and grabbed a couple of flags, chucking them to the ground when God Save The Queen was sung. This started a chant of "Singing The National Anthem is not a crime". Supporters were penned in after full time - usual practice for an Old Firm or European match but not a pre season testimonial in Stirling that passed with no trouble. If this is Fat Eck's idea of trying to stamp out a small problem that hardly even exists (and certainly doesnt stem from football) then I'm afraid this is going to be the final nail in Scottish Football's coffin. I always thought it would be the SFA think tank and the SPL with their ******** ideas would bring the game to the ground. Now it seems some fat guy with copies of Braveheart on VHS, DVD and Blu Ray is going to finish it off.
Frank the Tank My post was clearly a tongue-in-cheek reference to Medro and Preston Bear and their endless posts about Celtic fan's bad behaviour on the club's tour of Australia. Their claims of riots, riot police and full scale trouble is merely reflected in, what to most people, is an obvious OTT headline to this thread. So, in essence, you're correcet, I am at the wind up.
Well thank christ for that. I thought my internet skiving was darkened by the presence of a Sun reader.
That was last year, when rangers fans and players were involved in riots in Australia....glad you remember
What was Josef Goebbels' famous quote again? The bit in bold is hilarious. You're a nice wee bheggar, I'd like to chat with you since it seems like it could be a laugh. I'll start with introductions, I'm Frank The Tank I called myself this because I'm a nice friendly guy when sober but go daft on the drink. How did you come to call yourself "Mind The Step"? (I assume that isnt your real name)
A spokeswoman for Central Scotland Police said: “There was sectarian singing from a section of the visiting support, leading to warnings from the club [Stirling Albion] during the first half. “Towards the end of the half there was discussion between police and the club about pausing the match to allow further warnings to be delivered. “It was decided to wait a short time and deliver such warnings at half time. This was done by the club. At no time did the police recommend that the match be called off.” Despite concerns over singing, no arrests were made at the game, which the young Rangers side won 1-0. Non story.
Disgraceful. Not only is it an admittance of Rangers fans singing yet more bigoted songs it's a clear evidence that Medro has no problem with such a shocking situation with supporters of Rangers FC. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Medro was there if it wasn't for the fact he was probably on a march at the time.
