First off in the prem I can out the seasons we played 442 on one finger. 352 under evans 451 under houllier 4231 under rafa It was hodgson and keen that tried that As a line up I would say Babble is no way. Finnan was there longer and did better Mcmanaman is really the impondrables for me. He could dribble but the ****er was **** at shooting and ran down blind alleys. Fowler when young was awesome. I think the fact torres left badly means the paper left him out is all.
Unfortunately its a pretty easy team to put together. Reina Arbeloa Carragher Hyypia Riise Gerrard Mascherano Alonso McManaman Suarez Torres
Looking back on that midfield 3 of gerrard,alonso and mascherano it's a shame you guys didn't win more with them that midfield rivals the the invincibles midfield and the Keane Scholes combo
well that says rafa just needed 2 players to make his team complete. the problem was he had an effective guy in kuyt and always lacked that winger so rieira and others were bought. but the issue was lack of depth.. gerrard and torres injured.. lfc fall off cliff.
I think Rafa just needed 1 more player with some flair. Some one like David Silva. He also needed better squad depth.
Yes for first team anyone to play that role that benayoun ended up in for 4.5mil Squad depth in effect should have been torres and for 20 Mil rafa should have had his pick of foreign forwards Ie keane stupidity

Back 5 and midfield 3 pretty much pick itself in Reina Finnan Carra Hyypia Riise Masch Alonso Gerrard its then how and if you fit Suarez,Torres and Fowler as a front 3
Problem is fowler Suarez Torres all play best centrally, while Suarez is he only one that could do a decent job from out wide. In terms of individuals those 3 are the best, but in terms of a team, maybe not.
