if we want to achieve anything this season, chelsea should be told to piss off. They are sniffing around parker on a season loan which is more realistic (i hope)

I'd ask for £15mill, plus Sturridge, McEachran and Van Aanholt. They get a world class midfileder, we get a world class striker, an excellent midfiled prospect, and cover for our weakest position, esp if Jose leaves.

Don't sell for any price. That's it.

Tiote is just the type of player we need to move forward. He's at the calibre we want all our players to be at and he was only £3mill. Selling him would just be a big step backwards.

I'd ask for Sturridge, Van Aanholt, Borini, Bruma and McEachran!

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/28615-Carroll-to-Liverpool

Post 15 in the article I have linked. I was told he was going to Chelsea in January but more likely in the summer transfer window. Fee is probably already agreed however the club have probably 'tried' there hardest to keep cheik but he decided to leave. Seems a little coincidental that my source told me this when he told me about carroll. He will probably be right annoyingly. However I hope he is wrong!

Will be gutted to see him go If he does. Let's hope he still doesn't like London!

De Kuip beat me to it - it's the Echo! I would defo want Sturridge involved in any deal. Hargreaves no, no and no some more. Complete waste of time, he's a knacker job. I'd want Sturridge plus 20m. Then I'd want us to go and get a striker and defensive midfielder.

But I'd much prefer we just keep the rock.

I dont think he will go and I honestly dont think the club would risk selling him. If we did then it would prove once and for all what Cashley is about. Selling Carroll was one thing, and offer to good to refuse but even selling Tiote at £25 million plus would be a huge mistake.

Tiote for me is technically one of the best players we have had for years and add his energy and tackle and he is priceless.

He signed a six year deal only last year so we really don't have to sell. Even in a couple of years he would still command a massive fee, with three of four years of contract left. Tell Chelsea to bug off.

Every player has his price but I really don't see Chelski stumping up enough to prise him away this season.

Didn't we already accept an offer from Chelsea in January but then Tiote turned them down?

He's the only world class player that's actually passionate about the club we've had in ages.

i can't believe some people are considering how much we can get for him or what players in a swap deal :emoticon-0108-speec

this would be a massive kick in the teeth if he left

also we haven,t managed to get nolan off the banner yet , never mind having to take tiote off it too :emoticon-0100-smile

If we want to go forward as a club we need to keep our best players. The price recieved for Tiote would be decimated if it eventually resulted in us failing as a team.

No, I think Chelsea were interested, but he then said he hated London, so they gave up.

Tiote is a great player, but if we can improve the team by selling him we should. We are not yet at the stage that Barca or Man U are where we are looking for the best player in th world for each position: we are looking for a stronger team over all.

Sturridge, Van Arnholt and their under 21 right back (name bgns with an R: was class in the U-21's) would make the team better than it is with Tiote and no striker or full back cover. We should be in no hurry but also shouldn't rule out the idea

    Not a chance mate, sorry.
Selling Tiote = losing the most important battle of 90% of football games-the midfield.

If we got offered Sturridge + 20m for Tiote then I would accept and buy with the 20m Moussa Sissoko or Blaise Matuidi both apparently available for around 13m that would leave 7m going towards signing N'Zogbia. 3 quality players for selling 1 quality player.

It comes a no surprise if it turns out to be true. We need players like Tiote at the club to go forward and we also need a striker like Sturridge. It wouldnt surprise me if Fat man sold Tiote taking Sturridge as part of the deal to appease the fans.

If he does this he can go **** himself.
