http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfers-jamie-vardy-5878436 ... just a couple of things Tim ... ... have you asked Uncle Randy? ... why would he want to join Villa?
Villa are a more established entity in the prem, aguably with a better team than us, depending on if Vllar and Benteke stay next year.
If it was 1995 or 2005 not 2015 mate. Can´t see that happening. JV would be stupid to move to Villa. We are on the up & Villa are going side ways at best. Top has said the aim is now for LCFC to become an established prem team & push for european football. JV is at the right club & any way I really can´t see him leaving LCFC next season, may be after that if a bigger team comes in for him. BUT VILLA ?
We don't need to sell and unless players force a move I doubt we would. It'd be a sideways move for Vardy and after we gave him his chance from non-league, why would he
Villa are a bigger side, in terms of support but we are, as proven last season, a better team. Things may change if Villa get an ambitious owner but unless Vards wants the move himself then it ain't gonna happen.
http://www.soccerstats.com/attendance.asp?league=england In terms of attendance, they get about 2.5k more than use on average BUT we sell out to capacity virtually every match, they average is below 80%. An increase in our stadium's capacity would likely see us surpass their average. They haven't ever been relegated from the Prem, but I do believe that will happen eventually (as it did with similar clubs West Ham and Newcastle). They can't keep dodging the bullet as they have been doing. I agree with the comment above that this move for Vardy would, in the current climate, be sideways at best.
Lets see if they can bid £15M - if they somehow do, I admit I would be tempted for a 28 year old that only scored 5 times last season.
Charlie Austin would have done, I'm sure. I'd have gone for him over Vardy in this match because we were creating plenty, unlike against ROI.
