If my lack of class is in any way responsible for the fact that he doesn't post his faecal dribblings on here very often then I'm very happy to continue in this vain. I'll say it again: ****ing do one, twatlugs.
So people who stand up for what they believe is right, people who don't accept being steam-rollered into something they don't want nor believe in, people who make a stand, people who say "No!", are 'drama queens'? Fair enough. If that's what you think. But I'll tell you something, pal. If it weren't for people being 'drama queens', you'd never have had the privileged life you have now. You (and Sunbeam and Smartarse et al) really need to have a think about things. Take a look around and see how you're being **** on, in general and by our great benefactor. Or keep your eyes shut. Take the candy you're being offered now. And have an empty belly tomorrow. Your choice. A bit of a question for you.... 5 years ago, if I walked into a pub in my work clothes, pretty grafted and said "Hey, fellow Hull City fan. I've got an idea. We should rename our selves 'Hull Tigers'. I think that will create a whole lot of income from abroad. I'm going to put it to the Hull City board! Brilliant idea." What would you say? You'd call me a ****ing lunatic. But if I buy the club and say the same thing? You'd be kissing my feet! Money talks to some people. Others see false Gods. But as I said, you live in a free society. Because of 'Drama queens'. One day you'll work it out...
Magnificent post ??? I dread to think what the 3 clowns you've just mentioned had have done if they'd lived in post war Germany
Another crusader who in their warped mind thinks everyone else should be thanking them because they are undertaking the same heroic stance as those who stood up to Hitler. Think again sunshine. You used to be a fan. Now you are just an ex customer. Don't expect a medal any time soon.
I would have said... "well when you have won the lottery and bought the club, you can do what you want with the name because you would be the owner."
Let me qualify that. If someone said it to me, I'd say, "Well first you need to have the cash to buy the club. But 'Hull Tigers'? You gonna ask the fans about it? They're the ones who are there for the club right now. Hoping, supporting, loving. "If the fans are on board, then yeah, do it. But the fans' voice counts. If they don't want it, don't do it. Fans are the lifeblood of any football club." And if the person said "**** what the fans want. If I owned it, I'll do what I bloody well liked!" The conversation would be over. But I don't think a 'true supporter' (The term being bandied about of late by Allam Arselickers) would ever do that.
Tell me when anyone told the fans they were irrelevant, wanted to change the name of the club they supported and that if they didn'tagree they were hooligans and they could go away and die?
Spot on. It's ****ing pathetic how they try to retrospectively justify whatever he comes up with simply on the basis that it's him. Stuff that they'd never have dreamt up themselves. But yeah, he's rich.
Of course not. But everyone has different priorities in terms of where there own personal lines are crossed. I wouldn't be happy if he had done a Tan and changed the home club colours to lucky red. The location of the ground? Within reason. Melton would be actually quite convenient for me but I guess if I was East Hull, I might think differently. The badge? Not really fussed to be honest. No different to the kit design to me and no-one seems that up in arms if the kits change from stripes to plain to hoops. The name? If it meant we no longer had Hull in there, then yes that would be an issue. If there was a proper rival football team in the city (e.g. as in rugby) then yes the word City would be a more defining attribute of the team and I would be more defensive in terms of changing it. However this is not the case. If he was changing the name to Hull Hunters then yes I would be less happy because that would just seem random and therefore change for change sake. But using the word Tigers? It's our nickname, our colours are based on it, so why not? It would appear to me a lot of non-season ticket renewals is simply down to being priced out. If Allam had reduced season passes by 20% this year, I wonder how many more would have renewed? I understand this, financial pressure. I received an unexpected tax bill last year and had to struggle to justify the expense of renewal. However the enjoyment I get out of following the team meant that I did renew and made sacrifices elsewhere. If it had gone up even further than it did this season, then I probably would have moved from the West Stand to keep the price down. But the pricing is more to do with whats happening in football generally rather than the Allams. Our prices won't be too dissimilar to other Championship teams this season, and it has to be at that level because most other Championship teams need that level of income to survive as it will account at least 60% of their revenue if they are not receiving parachute payments. Like I said. Everyone has their own tolerance level and their own priorities in terms of what is important to them. We argue on this board because we think we can change other peoples values. The reality is you an very rarely can change anyone else's values and belief system.
You just don't change a teams name! I'm sure if it was a way of increasing revenue then bigger teams then ours would have done it. And that is a FACT!
You accept that everyone has a line in the sand, and everyone's might be different And yet you bleat and criticise those whose line has already been crossed
