    Ireland will win comfortably.

    Interesting* fact.

On 12 June 1988 England played Ireland in their opening match of Euro 88... With their Union Jacks all them English fans for victory they were set........Until Ray Houghton got the ball and he stuck it in the net.

    * use of the word 'interesting' is subjective.

I was at a Sportsman's dinner last and former referee Willie Young was the guest speaker. He was very funny. Better speaker than he was a ref tbf.

True story. Years ago one of my mates who played Amateur football was in the boozer after the game with his teammates, looking at the menu, one of the more mentally disadvantaged players announced at the top of his voice "I'll have a pluffmans lunch".

One of my old mates from Carlisle was on the train with his Glaswegian missus who had fallen asleep, as they were pulling into a station she awoke and at the top of her voice shrieked "Werr urr we Alan?" Seeing a sign on the station she answered her own question with the loud retort "Oh aye, BUFFET".

Many of the passengers heard it all.

    True.

Now I've seen the team Ireland have picked I've changed my mind.

    Ireland will win uncomfortably.

    Mon us!!!!

As a bonus Oirland have played both their easy games against Gibraltar. We still have another.

A draw would be acceptable, but a win for us would finish off the pikies.

    Mon us!!!!!!

Watching on a stream. Most of my time is spent restarting the stream.

Ireland seem to be having most of the ball but posing **** all threat.

Dammit, Ireland just scored an offside goal <laugh>
