Aparantly we have Giles Barnes and Alexei Emerenko on trial in Scotland. They are both midfielders but Barnes seems to have a lot of injuries but is still young. Dont know much about the Russian but he is also having trials with Celtic too.
At least we are seeing some strengthing of the midfield, if not by numbers but by presence at bossing midfield.

yea i read that, emerenko has got about 50 caps for russia and 14 goals or something and giles barnes looks like a promising younger player. i wouldnt be surprised if we signed one of them but they are both attacking midfielders so i dont know where they would fit in the team

Btw he's played 52 games for Finland, not Russia. Still a decent record, 12 goals :D

I thought Barnes had signed for someone else a couple of weeks ago?

He is only 22 isn`t he, seems to have been around for decades!

Don`t know too much about the Russian lad, but if the above info is right we would be mad not to have a good look at him.

how true are the rumours.... Giles barnes was class at derby before his injury. Still managed a move to the prem with west brom tho. Emerenko looks pretty good, great movement, power, pace and knows where the net is... some entire reason hes like a bradley johnson. But with better attributes

Not the hardest attributes to match. Foul conceding and slow

According to Paul Dews all this about Barnes is rubbish, which tbh I'm quite gald about considering the players he plays in the same position as. Apparently Eremenko has said he "might be playing with us on Saturday". He could possibly be Killa's replacement.

Brilliant QSS, if I remember rightly Howson scored quite a few goals and was also quite creative!

Erm, he's actually got caps for Finland. He was born in Russia, but chose to play for Finland.

Eremenko looks better than Howson, if only he was born in Leeds :( lol I think it cld be nonsense. Nunez was just as creative as Howson and played 3 times fewer games than him
