Was just reading this on OS http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10416~2391322,00.html And there's a bit at the end that seems to suggest the signings may not have finished yet. I'd normally not pay any attention to it but as it's the OS I think it might be quite telling. (however I maybe woofing up the wrong tree so to speak) It's the last 2 paragraphs "Birchall's signing brings the club's transfer tally to eight new faces for the 2011/12 campaign but is Adam the final piece of the jigsaw or would the Manager like more? Hess concluded "The Chairman has been absolutely fantastic this summer. If we identify a player, and he likes him then he tends to make it happen. Even when I was here before, we've really stretched ourselves and it's all about what he's done. Last year we identified Charlie Lee and Chris Whelpdale and he's gone out and brought them to the club. If there is a player I like, and I go to the Chairman, I know he will always make things happen." Not exactly saying we're all done is he. UTG
We's could git some mote signings man. Build a squad for the league seson to com. Its gonna be amazing. WE ARE GOIN UP i SEZ WE ARE GOING UP!!
A cerb crawler? Think we may make the total 10 signing's soon. Either a keeper, winger or striker. If it was up to me I would sign another keeper and striker. However I would expect to find these from trialist's rather than paying any ohter transfer fee's.
i highly doubt we will be slashing cash on transfer fees unless someone of spectacually good value comes up, like cody for 50K. as has been said i'd expect us to take a couple of the trialist if they prove themselves on peanuts or maybe dip into the free agency. lets be honest there is also the chance of a loan deal or 2. i'd say we are far from done in the market, espically when you consider the unrequired players we now have, but i dont think we'll be spending money other than wages
I very much doubt we will get anyone else in now. I think Hessy was just saying thanks basically to mr Scally for backing him and getting the targets he wanted in
