Alright fellas? You may remember I posted a few weeks ago asking for some tips/fancies for Hexham on the Saturday... Well I'm back again for more. There's a load of us heading up tomorrow (in the rain), and I was wondering if you lot could do the same again and try and point me in the direction of some winners to help swell the coffers? As always any help, comments, info or suggestions is more than welcome as I haven't really got a clue what I'm doing when it comes to picking a winner (especially over the jumps), that's why I'm here asking the wise heads of the forum for help. Cheers in advance fellas, Stew-H
I know next to nothing about this stuff Stew, but after looking at the fields, I'd recommend a stiff drink before even opening the form guide. The best part of the day will be sharing it with mates. Have plenty of luck.
Penglai Pavilion who debuts over hurdles in the 2.25 had a peak official perch on the level of 118. Does this make him the highest rated Flat horse to make the switch to the NH sphere??? Incidentally, I don’t know the answer just highlighting how highly he was rated, at one point, on the level. Penglai Pavilion’s debut though is keenly anticipated. Stow who has top weight in the opener (1.50) was until a fortnight ago trained in the county. He was then bought out of a Worcester claimer by his new connections. Michael Blake won 5 races with him in 2 years but never out of selling/claiming company. His form for the yard in handicaps (which he runs in tomorrow) was in contrast –P740. Will his new barn be able to overcome such bad figures??? The one that I’d be interested in tomorrow at Hexham though from a punting perspective would be Northside Prince in the 3.35. Was disappointing on his last racecourse appearance but his pair of second placed finishes prior to this make his perch of 115 tomorrow looks most appealing. In his younger days was also a 4 time winner on the Flat so he’s no mug. From the foot of the handicap Northside Prince should prove difficult to beat.
Had a look at the card and here's what i'd be backing if i was going: 1:50 - Danehill's Well 10/1 ew 2:25 - Ping 10/1 ew 3:00 - Amir Pasha 8/1 ew 3:35 - Silk Hall 5/1 win 4:10 - Luccombe Down 4/1 win (assuming Lamool doesn't turn out again after winning Friday evening) 4:45 - Kings Chorister 7/1 ew 5:20 - Zandino 10/3 win Hope you have a great day
150-PARLES POND 225-PENGLAI PAVILLION 300-OUR BOY BEN 335- SILK HALL 410-LUNCOMBE DOWN 445- ROXYFET 520- SHERRIFS STAR
Plenty to get me teeth into! Thanks lads, much appreciated. I'm sure we'll have a smashing day regardless, hopefully a few of these mentioned above do the biz.
