Austin- defo, was in the top 5 scorers in the Premier League in a team that got relegated.
Phillips- Not to sure, 2 Premier League seasons so far 2 relegations.
Caulker- Relegated the last 2 season and hasn't really looked that good. Failed at Tottenham.

Caulker is awful. On and off the pitch he's been a complete disaster.

Austin and Phillips are both very good players and better than what you've got currently. Not meaning to be disrespectful but I'd be a bit disappointed and surprised if better teams than Newcastle weren't in for them.

Unlike your well run club that just escaped relegation? If there had been 3 more games you would have gone.
No disrespects but you need to get off the massive chip thats on your shoulder. Before you knock other clubs you need to take a good look at your own. Plenty of two faced history with Ashley/knocking of carver/Stone. That plum Shearer always putting his fat face into everything. For me, i think Charlie should be doing better than Newcastle. Great getting 52K but it's Scotland? He needs to stay in London that's where the high profile is.

Nice looking back page headline from tomorrows Mirror - 'Austin Deal Done, Berahino next'.

Sad that it is so unbelievable.

Take it from us, Caulker is a complete dud. He has now been part of successive relegation team battles. He cost us many times during the season.
Phillips and Austin are certainly up for it.

But Remy chose us over you?
You lot really have delusions of grandeur don't you? You hounded Pardew out and it nearly cost you relegation.
    I used to like Newcastle.

No Pardew was a ****. I'm not going to judge your club, fans, etc so don't be doing it to us. Pardew should never have got the ****ing the job in the first place here.

Why? Did a pretty good job all things considered as an outsider looking in. Good record on transfers although obviously Carr had a major impact on that. He essentially did what what was his mandate from the chairman.

One good season mate. He should have been sacked on many different occasions as his record was utterly abysmal in the last two years of the job.

If you say so. Don't think 49 points and 10th place the season before last was too bad. 16th the year before was pretty poor but what do Newcastle fans expect with the players he had and working for a bloke who is happy as long as the club stays up every year?

My response was due to one of your fans doing exactly that mate.

Pardew was just an apologist for A$hley, when things went wrong ( which was frequent ) he never took any blame, always someone/thing to blame. Then when you consider his behaviour such as his touchline bans, abusing lineman, nutting players he should have been sacked years ago.
You must also remember he's been sacked more times from his previous clubs than most managers

While all of the comments about being an Ashley apologist and poor behaviour are correct, I think it should be acknowledged that he got reasonably good results from the dross he was given to work with. You may not like him but he is a competent manager.

All good points. I think he will be hard pressed to match his position with Palace next season.

No that's understandable mate. My point is that fans of other clubs will never truly know about other clubs and their various problems and sometimes need to be keep out of it. Now I think Caulker is ****ing awful but it doesn't mean I hate QPR and should comment acidicly their team, support, etc. Tash didn't need to bring QPR into it really, let alone bash them unfairly.

How is it that we're openly saying that Charlie Austin is our nr 1 target this transfer window? Since when do clubs announce who their priorities are...Smoke screen.

Whenever we signed someone in the past 5 years, it was all done very covertly.

Not many managers haven't had quite a few sackings in their careers.

He did a reasonable job for us with what he was given. he wasn't a worldbeater by any stretch, but our main problems lay elsewhere. He did let himself down at times, though I think we also have selective memories as Keegan was no saint on the touchline but we never complained about his behaviour. Hopefully our new manager (who has also been sacked on numerous occasions) will not have to deal with the same ****e that Pardew did.

For me the truth about Pardew is somewhere between what Gordie says and what you say but with me it's slightly closer to what Gordie is saying.

Pardew's behaviour at times was totally unacceptable and that by itself should have seen him sacked at least twice.

In addition if he had any self respect he should have walked a fair few times for the garbage he had to put up with from those above him but he didn't.

The above points were for me why I lost any respect for Pardew.

He was a reasonable manager but in the last year or so had seemed to lose the plot with poor team selections (square pegs round holes) poor substitutions and no plan B.

By the end I was more than happy for him to go.

Now Carver he's another story all by itself.
