Because the whole point of mafia, if you are on the mafia team, is to make townspeople kill each other off and take advantage of their lack of knowledge.

Even if we went along with MITO and lynched Tennis and he came up as innocent, he still has the get out clause that his info is only 66% accurate and it means even if we go for Tennis we might actually learn nothing. If we go for MITO its 100% we learn if he's telling the truth and we get the go ahead to go for Tennis, and if he's mafia then we know to look for people like you who have defended him despite Valley's investigation.

you honestly cannot see my apprehension about this? You don't think it odd that no one challenged him on being the drunk?
That the real drunk would sit back, getting reports, saying nothing, and let MITO run us in circles all in silence?
The only explanation for that is if the real drunk is inactive.....and MITO wouldnt have known that....so claiming to be the drunk was a ballsy move.

Not if he was pissed <whistle>

I've made this point several times but you seem to be totally ignoring it. What if the Mafia's secret power is the ability to silence someone?

And therefore, if MITO was mafia he would know there is no chance of the real drunk exposing him.

for a whole game? that would be pretty ****ty for that person.

unless MITO IS the drunk and his info on Tennis was incorrect (as it has a 1/3 chance of being), then we kill another two townies.

Absolutely. My thinking on that though - as I said directly to MITO, is that that would mean he had had a run of bad luck that stretches the bounds of believabilty.

1. He was forced to kill off our detective on day one.
2 He also managed to get dud information on night one.
3. He was seen killing the detective and forced to confess in public.
4. He felt forced to expose himself as the PI on night 1
5. He investigated the killed townie on night 2
6. He was investigated and nobbled on night 2 to be exposed as non-town
7. On day 3 the person he named as mafia was lynched on his say so and found to be an innocent townie
8. On day 4 he was lynched and found to be the innocent PI

It's possible - but how likely is it that one person would have that much bad luck in one game?

If it wasn't for the lack of an alternative PI I'd agree to lynch him now. We need some investigators though. I expect Valley to die at some point soon (sorry Valley :( ). We need investigators to find the Cartel and there will be at least one quiet mafia and possibly two. That is the only reason I don't want to throw our PI away too soon. If that draws suspicion on myself then fair enough. But to me this is a gamble worth taking - even if its wrong.

That will put me in the frame too then as I am still doubting that MITO is mafia.

Well if we believe the silenced secret power theory, is there anyone who was particularly active on Day one who has been silent for Day 2?

The real drunk had no cause to break his cover yet. Maybe his investigations haven't been worth sharing and blowing his cover? Why you think somebody with a useful town role would expose themselves to certain death so willingly is beyond me.

for a whole game? that would be pretty ****ty for that person.

Yes, it would. But someone died of flu, I don't think AFC cares how ****ty certain rules are for a player.

I see 2 main possible scenarios here:

1/ Mafia have somehow silenced the drunk (secret power) and have MITO posing as drunk with no questioning of his role.

2/ Mafia kept Valley and saved a kill so they could change results of investigation (secret power?) to make MITO look guilty and kill 1 detective off without even having to waste a kill and then that leaves Valley open to be killed leaving us with just us clueless morons leading each other to death.

I think it could be no.1 because Mikey has been awfully quiet and he isn't usually + mito's claims are relatively risk free because even if people he posted were guilty he could still go back to the 66% accurate thing.

1) With two mafia left, exposing yourself to make certain one of them is taken out, leaving one left, is not a risk, its a no brainer
2) Even if his investigations havent uncovered mafia, they may atleast give us some more known innocents. To sit on them and do nothing is stupid.
3) Leaving MITO to do all sorts of damage all day without even so much as a veiled challenge? We weren't lynching MITO till after 9pm tonight. Also that person would have known for certain MITO was mafia since last night. And they said nothing? Anyone vote for MITO before 9pm?

Sorry guys, not had a chance to review today's posts as had so much going on. But here's a quick recap of the intel AFC has provided me as the 'rambler' wandering around the town.

Although not all points are necssarily correct, AT LEAST TWO ARE TRUE. At least one from each set of 3 to be more precise.

1. Valley was seen chewing on salami in Luigi's restaurant, seemingly giving orders to someone.
2. Nobby was putting out his rubbish and there was a lot of noise from all those empty whiskey bottles.
3. Mikey was seen handing money over to a rather shady looking figure who was wearing a Newcastle United shirt.

1. Funky was heard talking to himself in different voices.
2. 666 Tash 666 was tending to his garden ready to enter his prize veg for the town fayre.
3. Lucaaas was driving his Ferrari Enzo down the street where Gerrez lives.

Although you might not be able to trust everything above , some of you at least should start to see some patterns based on what you personally know about you, your investigations, or your known team mates. Or at least know which ones to eliminate as fiction, to help narrow down the facts. <ok>

1. He doesn't need to, Valley has investigated Mito and exposed him as non town.
2. So he should expose himself to reveal a few innocent townies when there's 12 of us, make himself known to the mafia and probably die before uncovering anything useful? That would be a stupid thing to do.
3. Do all sorts of damage? What damage has he really done?

So the first paragraph, we know no.1 to be bullshit.
No. 2 Nobby is the drunk? If you are say so pal, you have shared no info and provided nothing, your best contribution at this stage would be to out MITO and let youself die
No. 3 hmmmm, handing money? Could Mikey be the meth head, buying meth from a Newcastle supporting poster, would by that rationale would be the cartel, providing Mikey with drugs? Mikey has been inactive too, would explain why the meth head didn't hit anyone (dont buy that the meth head poisoned Greez, thats inconceivable for a meth head).

Second paragraph.
No.1 would imply Funky is the schizo, no evidence to argue with or against that one way or another
No.2 Would indicate Tash is a townie, maybe on gardening leave? ie inactive
3. Indicates Lucaas is mafia, and may have poisoned Greez? (Ferrari = Italian)

I think I know the true statement in both your messages.
